Merging the Varrock Library?

It's been suggested before. I wouldn't mind making it a subforum of OT, but removing it completely might just make things even worse.

For example, even though the S&F forum isn't very active, there's still much more sports discussion that happens there than did in OT before the forum was created.

Yeah, making it into a subforum would be the best thing for it imo. Perhaps an entire literature subforum where people can discuss books and post their own writing?

Making it a subforum won't do anything to change the activity. Whether it's a subforum or it's own forum, the only thing that will boost activity to it would be people actually caring enough to post there. When we had literature discussions into Varrock Library I know a lot of people hoped it would be the tiny spark necessary to keep VL going. It doesn't seem to be the case.

Sadly it seems people are more interested in hot celebrities and things like that than they are in books and literature.

I was a strong proponent of allowing book/author/literature discussions in VL rather than in OT, but like Kim said, it really didn't change much of anything. And now of course I think it got moved back into OT.

I don't think it ultimately matters where the discussion ends up. Like-minded people will seek that sort of stuff out no matter what forum it's in, and uninterested people will continue to ignore it.
