stlboy07
So last night I found myself standing around GE not doing anything, just talking in clan and kinda not really paying attention. I had just got a slayer task, I wasn't motivated to do that, wasn't motivated to finish some quests so I can get my barrows gloves, etc..... I found myself wanting to pk but then I realized my Character kind of sucks for that!! What could I do with this char to make it a better PvP?Or if I made a new char, how should I go about it to make it a nice, fun pker/PvP?? edit: ahhh shoot hold on, I have to fix my sig, but lunch break is over now, quick fix.... 80 atk/str 76 def, i think 80hp, 70 range, and 71 mage i think...... JeRambo
I sometimes feel the same way you do; not motivated to do anything at the time. Either I take a break for a while or I look through the forums and the minigames on Tip.it to find something to do.You basically answered your question already regarding what to do to make your file a better PKer. Train combat through slayer and get the barrows gloves. Cannon slayer tasks and mage some of them as well (metal dragons, ganodermics, etc) I've made a few PKing files in the past and just fooled around on them training in the Edgeville dungeon or just PKing with them right away. :).You could already go PKing at your level if you want, but remember, don't risk items you do not want to lose. :P. It doesn't even have to be PKing, but find something that you enjoy doing and stick to it, or be like me switching skills and activities the whole time . "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones. Drazhor
Pretty sure everybody is feeling that way atm! :P I haven't any motivation except for doing 'dailies' at the moment! I think that aiming for something easy enough like a quest cape might be a nice way for you to start; there are quite a lot of fun quests that I wish I could re-do just because of the challenge they implemented at the time because most quests now are a joke! :P If questing isn't your bottle of vodka, then you should think about being more active with clan mates and doing different minigames or going bossing! Just try to give yourself a challenge and try to complete it, it'll be a nice way to keep you preoccupied if you don't want to do anything else. Visit my blog! Click the madness for more madness! Quyneax
Keep 80 attack, get 80 or 86 def or even none at all (you can already use all relevant shields, any higher def is for Virtus or ganodermic).99 strength, magic, ranged (at least 94 magic and 90+ strength and ranged really). Strength is optional - with your current attack/strength you're a tiny bit past a maxed tank, but you can probably still pk well (it's +1 combat level or so).95 prayer is practically required at such a high combat level, I guess you could get away with augury and rigour if you went tank.Chaotics are the main benefit of 80 attack, you should get a rapier and/or maul if you intend to melee.Storm of Armadyl is powerful but apparently nobody in Edgeville wants to fight you if you use it - still good for high-risk fights in the deeper wilderness where people can't run as easily. Basically, your combination of attack, defence and strength levels sets you up for high-level pking only. The best compromise between pvm and pvp is maxed with reduced defence, 75 for divine up to 85 for ganodermic. If you want to pk more simply, just 95+ magic with polypore staff and vengance is pretty nice.
