Ivy vs Magics

Featured Replies

So, I have recently decided just to grind out 99 wc while doing other things. Im just not sure if i should stick with Ivy all the way, magics, or mix. What are the approximate xp/hr and gp/hr for each? im including the nest drops (super random, i know, but a guess is better than nothing) in the gp/hr, since nests arent totally without profit.9

Also, if magics, where?

Magics are absolutely not worth cutting, especially for exp. Ivy is both way faster and way more afkable than magics, as well.

As for gp/hr, moneymaking with ivy is insignificant. Cutting magics you're looking at something like 2-300k/hr if you're lucky.

magics are slow and hardly worth it at all.

If you want a mix of ivy and magics, you can cut them at the Varrock castle. I sometimes wc there. You can cut your own magic tree for a little profit and cut ivy while it regrows.

This is obviously not the most efficient, but for me, I don't really care about fast wc xp while I'm watching tv or doing something else. Cutting magics require very little attention, but they give very little profit and not very good xp either.
