AniseCookies
Yea, well, I completely install the whole thing (3 CDs and all) and I try to start it and the BF2 screen comes on, goes off, the screen tuirns black for about 5 seconds as if its starting, then it stops... Something I found: When I click on 'get drivers' the internet page starts loading, but then it says it can't be found... I spent a lot of time on this thing and I want it to work.... ____
Other than sitting on the bare minimum requirements to even play BF2, chances are you don't have compatible video card :-? Best bet would be to go to the EA Games website and find the exact requirements for BF2. If it's all good there, then we'll try and find another explination. Severesting
http://support.intel.com/support/graphi ... 021729.htm It isn't supported, to put it simply. To run BF2, you're looking at having to buy a new video card. Sorry bud.
stevepole
you need a better graphics card then the cheap one computers come with. if you go to best you can get good ones there that work with battlefield 2 for about 100 dollors. its worth it in the end because its a good game. weezcake
Supported video cards: - Video Cards Battlefield 2 only supports the following video cards: Radeon X700 (PCIe) Radeon X600 (PCIe) GeForce 6600 (PCIe) GeForce PCX 5900 (PCIe) GeForce 5800 Series (AGP) ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition ATI Radeon X800 PRO ATI Radeon 9800 Series ATI Radeon 9600 Series ATI Radeon 9550 (RV350LX) ATI Radeon 9500 / 9700 Series ATI Radeon 8500 Series ATI Radeon X300 Series NVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra NVidia GeForce 6800 GT NVidia GeForce 6800 NVidia GeForce FX 5950 Series NVidia GeForce FX 5900 Series NVidia GeForce FX 5700 Series I tried playing with my ATI Radeon 9200 (on my desktop) and it was a bit glitchy. Probably won't work with the intel one. I hate how my Intel card (on my laptop) is never powerful enough to play anything. ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring. I feel your pain man. Im almost completely upgrading my computer because I wanted to play BF2 lol. Your processor is lacking along with your RAM. Chances are you are going to have massive lag if you try plaing with those specs. My Advice: Buy an AMD Athlon from NewEgg along with another 512MB RAM and a GeForce 6600GT for medium+ graphics. ^^thats what I'm doing.
Sk8erfreak
Just a note - I run BF2 on: P4 2.53Ghz 1024MB of pc2100 RAM (ddr 266) GeForce FX 5500 256MB (below the minimum req. but I believe it is based on a 5700 or 5900 core, just with lower frequencies and a higher VRAM) And I can play at low setting with texture at medium, draw distance 100% (needed for jet and sniping) on 800x600 resolution. You WILL have to upgrade to play BF2... Also i tried playing on 512MB RAM, only to find it nearly impossible. Get a GB of ram and a GeForce 6600-6800. You could probably upgrade for around $200-300 and get much better results than me. What processor are you running, and what socket type is it? Also, What type of graphics port do you have?
