enfield
if you're using polypore/cr, is it better to use a combination of leeches or turmoil? leeches drain ~1/2 the rate of turmoil, so it probably wouldn't be good to use more than 3. also it's good to keep in mind that leech magic increases your magic accuracy as well as decreases the td's magic defense - so it is quite good. essentially - how does you: +10% magictd: -10% magic, -10% defense compare to turmoil. and is adding on leech strength worth it? Taltin
It's better to stay on turmoil the entire time even while maging at tds? [hide=Account stats] [/hide]My DIY Blog
Hedgehog
You still get the offensive boost from leeches when maging, so definitely stick to curse. As a bonus, you can SS the td when it's meleeing. The effect is quite interesting.
enfield
i'm not asking whether its better to use prayers or curses, but which curses one should use. yeah, being able to ss when a td melees makes curses the best i think, even if it's less dps than prayers. Quyneax
Don't forget: Augury is at most 20% more magic dps compared to turmoil.Turmoil is approximately 10% better attack and 10% better strength than piety, so at most ~21% more dps (assuming you keep it on at all times). E.g. augury + piety isn't actually better dps than just turmoil unless you have very high melee accuracy and very low magic accuracy. Ignoring Darklight accuracy. Leech magic is equal to/slightly worse than Augury (not sure which) depending on mage level etc. Of course if you're using Storm of Armadyl, leeches won't do anything.Leech magic + turmoil switching is inferior to augury + piety because you never get a chance to use the full boost.Leech magic + leech defence + leech strength + leech attack drains over twice as much as turmoil, and is inferior to turmoil at least max hit wise. I suspect the defence drain also doesn't make up for the lost attack boost. With turmoil, you can use soul split which saves you money on brews as well. Ergo, use turmoil at all times.
