May 4, 201214 yr Heya, I'm contemplating getting 99 strength and I'm considering the methods that would be best for me. My stats are shown below, but basically I don't have access to prayers, summoning and high herblore potions. As such, I realise whatever method I do won't be the best, but I'd like it to be the best for me. I've used troll invasion for most of my melee exp, and so far I'm leaning towards that option. I have access to a salve ammy (e) so undead creatures might be a worthwhile choice too. Living rock creatures have that slight increase in exp per hit, so I'm thinking about them, but they are somewhat spread out. Even if you could just give me ideas, I'd test them and see what I like. Some AFKable options would be nice too, but not completely necessary. And would a rapier be best to train with (dragon claws if doing troll invasion)? Thanks.
May 4, 201214 yr Slayer with rapier + claws would be my first choice. Also I hear ghouls outside canifis are good afk mele xp. Just remember to always use the best potions you possibly can because they greatly effect xp p/h for very little cost. May 4, 201214 yr I'd definitely look at working on slayer as a means of training strength. Apart from that, TI and armoured zombies are decent xp with low prayer. [bleep] OFF HOW ARE U SO [bleep]ING LUCKY U PIECE OF [bleep]ING SHIT [bleep] [bleep] [wagon] MUNCHER
May 4, 201214 yr Slayer is worse melee xp/hr overall but good slayer xp obviously. But at 13 prayer, you will have a very annoying time fighting high-defence and high-offence stuff (read: metals, bloodveld, abberant spectres), so I would not recommend it. You will not be able to survive with a cannon in a few places as well.Skeletal monkeys with salve amulet are probably the fastest at 43 prayer and up. But again, not for you.At your prayer level you can really only rely on Bandos, as void and Dharok's don't actually work. You probably want to fight a weaker undead like skeletons in the Chaos Tunnels. There aren't any decent strength-training familiars. May 4, 201214 yr The dominion tower with d claws is over 150 k exp/hr, more depending on how many/which quests you've completed. Do climber mode, claw out every boss that you can in 1-2 hits, when you hit a boss you don't like/is too hard claim your reward and start over. Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
May 4, 201214 yr Ring of Visibility from the Desert Treasure quest gains you access to the shadow dungeon NW of Ardougne. The lvl 80 Giant Skeletons are aggressive, you already have access to the salve amulet(e) and it is definitely an afkable spot. It is quite an old-school training method and not the best but it wouldn't be busy like it was years ago. RSClassic VeteranGladiatorz member for 11 years
May 5, 201214 yr Author Thanks for all the ideas, I'll probably use a combination of them to keep things interesting. I like having a choice between AFK methods and the other methods too. I'll hit 110 combat at 83 strength, so I won't be able to use Kuradel or Dominion tower before then. I made a list to see what bosses I could potentially face in dominion tower, and it looked pretty good (21 quests done for the tower, just enough).
