Dungeoneering on a pure.

What are 1 def DG exp rates like? How long do you think it'd take to get a rapier? Considering that i'm maxed apart from def and attack, do the best strategies differ from 'main' players?

Once i've quested and trained for turmoil, i'll probably get 45 defence eventually anyway - Better to focus on this first, instead of DG?

Thanks.

If you are [definitely] going to go for 45 def/turm, I'd do that first. It makes you more of a force in DG (turmoil) and will improve survivability significantly (between an SSH and Soul Split). XP Rates question I'll leave for a pure.

Ideally you'll get 95 prayer and 45 defense before you start dg. A hood and ss/turm will be invaluable.

Your primary bind would be primal battleaxe>prom 2h>gorg 2h>kat 2h. If you're stopping before 70, your main bind should be an empowered fire staff (celestial catalytic staff if you do slower floors). Keep in mind that you will pretty much be a leech unless you have a pba or prom 2h. Don't bind a maul.

Your secondary bind would be a hood. It's inferior to a prim/prom plate in fast floors, but you're only 45 def so it's your best option. If you stay 1 def, you should bind an efs/ccs if it's not your first bind.

Your third bind is pretty much limited to a blood necklace. Efs/ccs if you don't have one bound by then.

60 attack, 45 def, otherwise maxed means you can't use a decent platebody, 2h or battleaxe. That limits you to hood (not horrible), maul (bad) and magic (not great).

Csb is crucial, so get that 70 runecrafting. Without it you can't kill any of the higher tier forgotten warriors, zombies etc.

I don't know whether hood + maul + csb is better than hood + staff + csb or maul + staff + csb. Third bind wise I'd say hood + staff + maul + csb, fourth bind blood necklace. Hex is nice too, but blocks you from using magic.

Isn't leeching hilariously expensive?

There is a clan (from memory) that allows low levels to leech for free. I can't remember which exactly though (I'm sure someone will fill in this gap)
