sk8_tolivv
Last time I dung'd I decided to switch from laws to a csb since I had recently gotten 70 rc/done quest for 100 extra ammo binds. I haven't had the chance to use it yet because after I binded it and charged it, I've been working on 80 rc and a few other skills so if I came across some high tier logs, I could make a empowered fire staff. Anyways, I have a couple of questions about it...When I use my csb, will my Primal Plate have much of an effect on how effective the spells will be?Just asking because I've seen a lot of people mage while wearing a plate, and wondered if dung was kind of like barrows where your mage bonus doesn't really matter. And another question is when I rush the low floors will teams get mad that I have to make laws at the start, or is it common for people to make them?Might be a silly question but I used to just solo rush the low floors so it didn't matter, I did it with a team last time and would like to continue using one. Btw I'm 102 dung so I know how the skills works, its just I've always had laws and never thought about getting a surgebox so this is all new to me lol. Quyneax
It doesn't matter very much but it is technically better to take the plate off if you're not tanking anything. The main things you mage have a magic level of 1 or so, so they won't be very hard to hit. You don't make laws in c1 floors of course (you can't). If you rush a something other than c1, make sure it's c2 (fishing/woodcutting) because anything else is a waste of time. Bxpprod
You can craft runes in c1s, so if you are going to be doing rushes as a team, make sure you are the leader (as the leader is, in effect, the Group Gatestone in c1s). But I'd look into c2ing if you want to gain some fish xp for a slight increase in time spent rushing (of course, you solo c2s). Platinum_Myr
Quick aside question: What's the best way to find a surge box? I haven't seen any recently and I broke mine for cosmics when I was trying a bunch of c2 fishing (just before the dungeon update.. Missed out on stackable fishies) Ever since I've wanted to replace it again and I haven't found one.. bojangles
kill Forgotten Mages since they drop them and only the mages holding 1 has a chance to drop one.http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=1405
Platinum_Myr
Would doing them in c1s be ok? I haven't seen many forgotten mages in the floors I generally 5:5 (maybe because there are more necros on occults than forgotten mages?) Thanks. bojangles
i hardly see any mages carrying the box on c1 on floors 1-20, i see alot of mages but hardly any carry the box... floors 20-35 is my best guess on the best chance to get one, and prolly c6... dont quote me on this but just from an observation from someone who solo's 90% of the time. Platinum_Myr
I'll try a few meds on 20-35 :) I know they should be quite common, I saw several near their release, but at the time I wasn't very far into the occult floors yet so I did a lot more Abd2 floors.
