Miss Lioness
So I failed Jad for the fourth time. Now as there was little to improve in terms of gear, I thought that I could improve my skills to have a greater chance. Are the following calculations about right? Is there maybe an oversight? Calculation of costs pre-preparation of Jad. Herblore: Total Experience needed: 3.232.112 Total Potions needed: 17957. Saradomin Brew: -4.84 gp/xp 3.232.112*4.84=15.643.422 Potions: Toadflax unf: 2.841 Each. Secondary: Crushed nest: 6.096 Each Total costs: 8.937 Selling: 7.215 Difference: 1722 1.722*17.957=30.921.954. Scroll of cleansing = 10% saved roughly. 17957*6.096*.1=10.946.587 30.921.954-10.946.587=19.975.367 19.975.367*110%=21.972.904 -> 22 mil. Magic: Total Experience needed: 3.885.873 Robes : Hood: ~65.000 Top: ~720.000 Bottom: ~340.000 Runes: Ice Burst (Rock Lobs)[iBuRL]: -4.30 gp/xp -> -5.5 gp/xp. Experience per hour: 130.000 max. (120.000 calculated) Blood Burst (Rock Lobs)[bBuRL]: -6.59 gp/xp -> -8 gp/xp Experience per hour: 250.000 max. (230.000 calculated) Total costs IBuRL : 3.885.873*5.5=21.372.302 Time: 33 hours. Total costs BBuRL: 3.885.873*8=31.086.984 Time: 17 hours. Difference: 16 hours BBuRL > IBuRL Money Making: Frost dragon bones: ~1.300.000 per hour. (Frost bones are crashing) 16 *1.300.000=20.800.000 ~53.100.000/~1.300.000=40.85 ~41 Cannonball costs: ~250.000 per hour doing frosts. 250.000*41=10.250.000 10.250.000/1.300.000= ~7.88 hours =8 hours. Time estimate Herblore: ~15 hours. Time estimate Magic: ~17 hours. Time estimate Frosts: ~50 hours. Total time needed: 82 hours. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Quyneax
If the robes you are referring to are battle robes, you'll need to play some FOG to charge them. You really don't want to use blood burst (and blood burst is not faster xp than ice burst, I assume you mean barrage?). Given that you're 85 herblore, brews probably aren't the optimal method for training. I'd take a good look at special recovers (slightly more expensive and 10% faster) and extreme attack potions (cheaper and about 25% faster, requiring 88 herblore) as well as other extremes. After all, extremes are worth at least as much as their super counterparts, and you need potions anyway. It's worth making a stash of them for future use. If you trained herblore before magic you could use extreme magics/overloads to cast ice barrage @ rock lobs which is I think is better than ice burst and blood barrage. Assassin1357
What are you failing on? If its prayer switching than no gear or skills will help you with that, it just takes practice. If you are having a hard time killing jad himself, well you shouldn't be having that much trouble with your stats. The tip.it guide has a deccent set-up list

But I strangely also have a huuuuuuuuge delay on prayer. Sometimes I activate a prayer and he hits twice-trice before the next hit is completely blocked. And yes I have the correct prayer on! So I want better skills so I can kill him quicker and so have less chance on this happening. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Deletion
In the case I would recommend re-trying the Gano Method. Your lack of Ovls will hurt but it should be easy enough if you use full Gano + SoA (with Armadyl Battlestaff). If you take a lot of damage just step into one of the safe spots (depending on where Jad spawned) to heal up and calm yourself.
Hedgehog
You'll use like 100 armadyl runes to kill jad (his magic defense is extremely high), so if that's out of your budget, a pps will do just fine.

Deletion
Hence why I said re-trying. I used the Gano method last week and used less than 2 brew flasks on him. It's the only method you can really consider if lag is preventing you from prayer swapping efficiently. Ovls would help, but aren't required, just drink a sip of super restore every time you brew. You should be able to get to Jad with 12+ Brew flasks remaining. I don't really know how this method can fail. Make sure you use a Armadyl Battlestaff too. PPS is fine for all the pre-Jad waves. I really tried that method for over 20 times. Seems I can get him to half health under 30 seconds. But once healers come, I can't outhit them, then I try to lure the healers letting them hit on me and SoA Jad with staff, just not hitting =d. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Deletion
I find the easiest way now is to just kill the healers. It takes longer, but recently in an update healers are able to heal Jad by just being around him, even if they are attack you. It doesn't take very long to kill them, just SoA them to death. If you're really worried you can lure most (if not all, depends on your spawn) into a spot that is safe from Jad and allow you to kill them without worrying about getting hit by Jad. They only respawn if they heal him to full health before you kill them.

Deletion
Hit them all once, lure them onto you, run a good distance from Jad (or to the safespot) and kill. Or leave one and out hit that one.
