Ranged training

Featured Replies

I did most of my ranged training via chinning last summer and I was still wondering if it was a viable option/how many chins I'd need from 95 Ranged (9.4m xp) to 99. I also was wondering if Dag Sentinals were worth doing if I don't have access to void. I'm just missing the helm/gloves from void and my bottoms aren't elite yet.

This was my old set up last summer and would anybody offer any tweaks to it?

I was wearing full arma/range boots/range ammy/archer ring/ava's with b gloves.

Use void, deflector + acp if you have it, pray eagle eye/rigour if you weren't already and a Soul Wars cape would be nicer than alterter as well probably.

It is still viable, but you will want something to give you prayer bonus. You will also want to bring some prayer renewals in order to make your trips longer.

Quyneax is right, though I would bring renews, and max range bonus. Especially if cost is no issue, then you cna bring flasks instead. The reason is that the prayer bonus only extends your trip. But you don't want more than an hr or two of chins on you anyways, because you might die on accident. Maximising range bonus is important because you'll get fewer misses, and slightly more xp/hr. It depends on your preference though.

Having higher prayer bonus is perfectly good goal.

One more thing... If you have access to a familiar that trains ranged, you might as well use it. I found that having a geyser titan increased my experience per hour by like 20k. It also helps lure stray monkeys.
