I remember with the old grand exchange maybe a year or so ago, i could pretty easily make pretty darn good money a day just flipping.

 

Juts wondering how possible it is in the current GE. I haven't really gotten very much into the game again yet.

It's exactly the same. Dunno when it was introduced but there are limits to how many items you can buy (Typically 25k/4hours common resources, 100/4hours normal armour/weapons, 10/4hours rarer armour/weapons)

 

The economy is kinda screwy but flipping is the same as it always has been, people need stuff and people need to get rid of stuff. Be the middleman. :)

It's pretyt much exactly the same as it was, except now there is no 4-hour limit between buying and selling. There is still the max items per 4 hour limit though. Also, most margins on items are crap because everyone merches these days.

With the recent price changes of elysian and divine spiritshields I have been able to get margins of 1-20M however this is quite bad given the fact that Jagex lowered the buy limit to 1/4H.

 

Generally, Most items have extremely bad margins (ores/barrows armours/runes) due to the large number of people attempting to merchant.

If your looking for some quick money I would advise you to kill some kind of dragons until you have enough wealth to kill higher level bosses with a team or solo.

I think we're kinda exaggerating the number of merchers. It's increased for sure, but it doesn't stop you from doing small margin flips (Which you would do anyway, and avoids long term merchers as they buy much lower and sell much higher)

 

The real limitation is usually the 6 ge slots for me.

Just as an update, i got back into it again and im still getting pretty decent margins on TT items, though it does take longer to buy than i used to remember.

 

Definitely feeling the pinch not having member atm though, 2 slots is absolutely terrible.
