July 10, 201213 yr TIF used to have a thread like this for talking about 3rd age and rares, thought it should be started up again in the theme of the item discussion thread on rsof. How do people think the combat update will effect nex sets/spirit shields? Something also interested in trying to find out with this thread is how rare exactly are crackers, it seems less than 20 are active after some research and asking high level merchants. What is the rarest rare, will we ever see a situation like on rsc were a cracker is now worth 4-5 phat sets. Will fish mask stay above its alch value after the inevitable crash as people sell after it becomes discounted after hoarding for said event? Are all rares low values sustainable with so much gp in the game, what would the effect be for example in nerfing spirit shards causing people to have to put their huge amounts of gp into rares/high items. (Spirit shards IMO are the biggest thing damaging the rares market and keeping it depressed) also- This doesn't belong in beta discussion mods, as it is only about items and not just items in beta, a very general thread. Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod![hide=old sig][/hide]
July 10, 201213 yr Nex armours/Spirit shields still seem to be the best items in the beta, and we have no idea what all the stat interfaces actually mean at this point, so there could (and should) be a large margin between Bandos and Torva... As for the Fish Mask? It will crash and burn. People think it will be worth hundreds of millions within a few months. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

July 10, 201213 yr Torva/Pernix is about 14% better than Bandos/Armadyl in Armour and LP boosts.The gap between Virtus and Ganodermic is even smaller than that.Perhaps I'm wrong, but doesn't Ganodermic have the same stats as Armadyl/Bandos in the beta? It seems like everything of a certain tier has the same stats, and all three sets were moved into the level 75 tier. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr

July 11, 201213 yr I can't play the beta so I'm not really sure...but the cool effect should shove prices upwards for a little while.
