Epicfailboat Posted July 13, 2012 Share Posted July 13, 2012 So I've recently recovered my old zerker pure, and I'm considering getting p2p for it for a couple months. I haven't played rs in quite a while, except for a f2p pure that I play every now and then. I'm just trying to figure out what I could do with this character if I do get p2p. I'd still like to pk on him and possibly max him out, but I'm not sure if its even worth it with the new combat changes. I'd rather not make him into a main, but I'd consider it. My stats are below, and I have most quests completed (RFD, DT, etc.) Right now I have some basic gear (rune, dscim etc), and only about 200k gp. Also need some suggestions for money making. Quyneax Posted July 13, 2012 Share Posted July 13, 2012 I'm not a pker but I think that zerker needs a lot more mage level since pps is currently a standard dps weapon for zerkers (iirc). 70 attack is probably worth upgrading to 80 I think. Other than that, turmoil. In the combat beta you'll still be reasonably effective I think, rune has 4-5k lp boost compared to torva + divine at 7-8k boost, which isn't too bad considering you save 35+ combat levels. You have access to all the good offensive ultimates. Of course this can be changed, it's only a beta, but for now there's no need to go main if you don't feel like it. In the beta, polypore is currently very weak but ice barrage is extremely powerful. Gear: torso/fcape/zerker helm/rune boots/rune defender etc., proselyte, void deflector, third-age range/mage if you're really bored/awesome. Chaotic rapier if getting 80 attack. Polypore staff. Barrows gloves. To make money, farm herbs, manage Miscellania, maybe work on unlocking some dailies like red sandstone (83 mine/87 craft or something). Are the dailies unlocked from quests/what are they?... Other than that, I'm thinking max out strength and hopefully mage (if i can make enough money). Get my range up to around 80-90, and get turmoil. Gear seems to be about the same as it used to be, I basically just need to go for the torso and firecape. Dailies are daily runs which include herb runs, with buying things from shops that profit, as well as doing things like bork that only happen once a day or you can only get once a day. Unless you have to have a certain level for it for a quest which i can't remember if there is. In that case then you will just have to level it up. After the EOC it won't matter as combat level will not be affected since summoning won't be calculated into the combat level calculator. Ammako Posted July 14, 2012 Share Posted July 14, 2012 Might not want to turn it into a "main" just yet.Should wait until after the combat update goes live and test it out in PvP to see if it can still hold its own.
