Samaster
One of my mates just maxed and she said that barehanded butterfly catching was awesome xp for hunter. Im guessing the benefit to these is the agile xp you get, but are these actually worth it? What is the xp/h for the lower levelled ones and for black warlocks compared to draconics? vmser
If you can stand grinding jadinko's, they are superior hunter exp. By far enough to compensate for the loss in agi exp. Butterflies should be able to get you a bit over 100k an hour, but I've not managed it myself. Doing the two snowy types of butterflies gave me around 80k exp when trying to do it in an 'enjoyable' way. On the plus side, it gets you some agi exp without actually dealing with the agi lap grinding. If it's efficiency you are after however: do draconics, and do agi laps with a penance horn. Farm3r
This is information I have tested myself and noted it and is now posted on my Hunter Guide in RS forums[qfc]98-99-123-63472613[/qfc] I haven't quite tested the others as my Agility level is a bit on the low side (80). But comparing it to Draconic Jadinkos xp/hr, it just doesn't step up any closer to be at the same level as it is. This could help you a bit with the decision making as you can use it as a guideline.Draconic Jadinkos have xp/hr rates that are at 120k xp/hr at 80 (depending on method used) up to 300k xp/hr at 99 Hunter. Right when you have ascended the steps, there are 2 Sapphire glacialis almost beside each other. This is the spot I preferred to use because on the first respawn spot there are too many sknowy knights and sapphire glacialis clumped up together, it made it more confusing and so slowing me down. The Sapphire Glacialis take less than 1 second to respawn so NORTHERN spot isn't too bad of an option. Only use the main respawn spot by the Kyatts if you have the 85 Agility level in order to catch the Snow Knights. Here's some info I have gathered up myself when I tried some of them

Hedgehog
I don't like being mean about this stuff, but I'd take Farm3r's advice with a grain of salt. I've always disliked the idea of testing something for an hour and claiming it as an xp rate. There's so much uncertainty, since hunter is based on a high degree of chance–literally one choice occurs every tick. You can't get an accurate xp rate unless you test for hours. You can use it as a guideline, but don't base any calculations off of it. Definitely do draconics. They're fast and they're really not that bad once you get past the first half an hour or so. Quyneax
If a choice occurs every tick, it should average out sooner, no :P? I otherwise agree with you of course. Hedgehog
There are millions of possible outcomes. Hunter does average out faster than other skills, though.
Platinum_Myr
i agree with hedgehog, you need to test more to get an average result. I would personally give both methods a try and see which you like most. It really depends a lot on player preference of what you can stand doing for long enough. Also keep in mind that hunter level matters for catch rate on things so it isn't really useful to give lv99 xp rates for people who are looking to reach 99.
