Best way to level up Smithing

Situation:

I'm a player that hasn't played in a year, and the game has changed a lot, and I'm now getting back into it.

What I want to know:

Has Smithing changed since a year and a half ago? Have the ways to make the maximum XP in it changed?

Basic questions:

- What is the best way (usually expensive) to level this up?

- What is a good way to level it up fast but without spending too much?

Thanks!

The most efficient way to train would be superheating gold while mining to 88 smithing then doing addy plates to 99.

PRODUCTIVE

Superheating while mining is only 40-50k xp/hour, and you're already 99 mining so it's not that great. I suppose just smelting gold with gauntlets would be the best.

Other than that, this beautiful lady is correct.

-artisans workshop is very very fast, but very very expensive

-Addy plates

Lol I'm still wearing the gold smithing gauntlets so I'll probably still do that a bit, but seeing how easy it is to make millions in a matter of hours now I'll probably mix between the artisans workshop and the gold smithing with the gauntlets, just so that I don't get bored by doing the same thing over and over.

And I think that smithing table is going to be quite helpful in deciding what I want to do in the future!

Thanks guys!
