I go to the dueling area and choose obstacles, but the problem is every challenge I get puts me ANYWHERE but the spot I'm supposed to dig on. Can someone help me?

Unfortunately I found no option for that. I couldn't find a way to go to the obstacles to the northest.

 

When I'm dueling I can't jump from one spot to the next. There is no door or anything like that, and I can't climb up.

 

I have done that same clue a lot of times, and this is the first time this has ever happened.

 

Make sure that the option circled in red is NOT ticked. Then you'll be able to freely move around.

By "spot" I mean the place where I duel. And there are three places like that with obstacles, and the one I need to go to is the one most northern. And I have been dueling five times and the place I dueled wasn't the place where I'm supposed to dig.

I am fairly certain that the obstacle arena is the only of its kind.

You need to select obstacles when setting up a duel with another player in order to do it. You can't get their on your own, and you can't get there from inside the arena if you fail to select "Obstacles" when setting up the duel. You then walk there ON YOUR OWN. Look at the picture provided on Tip.it to find out where in the obstacle arena you need to go. Bring your sextant/shovel/chart/watch.

 

You don't need to make your point clearer, you need to read better. We're telling you what to do. :P

There are separate ones for summoning on and summoning off and likely some other combination. If you're ONLY CHOOSING OBSTACLES ON and you should be, you'll always go to the same arena.

So that's the problem? It's the fact that I chose more than just obstacles?

 

I tried only boxing that option but that didn't work either.

 

The solution is probably "keep trying", but so far it's not working.

Because, and no offense, you're probably screwing it up because you're not paying attention.

Hi me and a couple of people have found a solution to this problem but its not simple sadly.

1. You need 6 people, i'm guessing it can be done with 3 people (2 if you are not including yourself) but it will be more difficult.

2. 4 people (2 fights) need to to be in the wrong obstacle arena at the same time (it seems that runescape has changed the default/first selection of obstacle area for fighting)

3. While the 4 people are in the wrong arena the person who needs the clue needs needs to start an obstacle arena fight then they should be in the northern (correct) arena

 

Obviously it will be difficult to either find 5 friends that are all free at the same time. So I suggest that you join a treasure trail help friends chat I used "TT Help" and it seems that world 40 is the ideal world for this if there is less then 6 people taking part.

Kimberly, it might be hard to believe, but I did pay attention to what you said and did do everything you said I should do, but I'm still being send to the other two obstacle areas.

 

Thanks for the help, 77Dom77, yeah it is gonna be very hard to do that since I don't have any friends on RuneScape since I choose to play on my own. I have no idea how I can accomplish that, it is gonna be hard since I have NO friends on RuneScape.

I suggest you try the official dueling world(54) as the arenas there are always busy and the chances you are put into the right arena are higher.

 

I don't know where you got your information from, Kimberly, but that's not correct. Recent posts by Mod Ash on rsof state that you will go to the least busy one out of the 3 obstacle arenas. If two of the arenas have a fight and the third one does not, you will go to the third, no matter what rules your duel has(except the obstacles rule ofc)

Hi BlazeTheMovieFan I know it took me ages to find someone to help me with this however once we joined the "TT Help" friends chat they were really helpful and friendly and as it seems everyone is having problems with this it doesn't take long to find 6 people to help (keeping in mind that you will need to help out the people that help you as it is fair) Hope the people in the clan/friendchat are as helpful as they were to me :)

Thankfully I didn't have to go through the pain of getting those friends, all I had to do was to keep trying. And I finally got it right.
