Hi everyone. :) I'm just doing a random little survey regarding the Clan Chronicle. It disappeared two years ago and I'm wondering if there's any interest in seeing it return. If so, we would need active contributors in order to make this work!

What is the Clan Chronicle?

The Clan Chronicle is a newspaper that Tip.It used to run that showcased articles about the clan world, interviews with clans or clan leaders, PvP war recaps, and more. You can view the Clan Chronicle archives here to get a better understanding.

I don't think it is really that feasible to restart the CC looking at the state of this subforum. When there have only been 4 posts in the past month, I don't think will be a large enough audience to support just as many articles.

 

As for submitting an article, I remember beng an author a few years ago, but then I quit the clan world and RS before I could write my first article (sorry for having to hunt me down there!). If I have the time, I might send in a guest article if the chronicle starts up again, although I don't think I'd be of much use seeing that I haven't followed the clan world since DI closed.

I would certainly be interested in it, and hopefully there will be readers once we get it going :S.

I would really like to see this return. Clans not only seem so less formal today, but so less connected with other clans. It's a bit difficult to compare clans on anything other than statistics, and allowing interviews and detailed information about the schedules and even traits of each clan... I believe it would make clans a bit more competitive, as each will try to get an edge over the featured ones. It would help by laying out an example of a well-rooted, successful clan, allowing new clan founders to set goals for their own. Personal responses would definitely give insight on what to expect when joining a clan, also.

 

I think it's interesting just to see how each group of people on RuneScape interacts within itself. And, of course, I would most likely use tips and advice from greater clan leaders to improve my own leading abilities within my clan.

I support anything that could spark back the activity around clans. I definitely would love seeing the chronicle back. While de audience may not be huge as of now, it's a matter of advertising it. Wouldn't it be great if it would result in making people interested into getting more involved with clans as well?

 

I guess any little actions done contributes, so even if I'm a pretty busy person, I wouldn't mind helping out from time to time.

It's a bit too late, the clanworld does not use tip.it any more...

Much as I hate to admit it there's not really enough of an audience for it. It was enough trouble getting articles for it when Tip.It actually had an active clan discussion.

I think there's potential to create a smaller version for smaller RSB clans as sadly the RSC clans have moved on from here. Good luck.

I could help, but honestly the audience has moved on....These forums(clan portion) don't generate much activity around here sadly.It will take a lot of effort. It's too little too late so it seems.

I do like the idea of this, however like others who have alerted to this, it may not work as well on here as it may do as say, the clan home forums on the rs website.
