Dominion tower

I'm looking to try and complete the dominion tower and haven't a clue where to start.

 

I tried it when it came out but not for any real time. I had a look at some guide on YouTube and they are mostly pre EOC.

 

What would be the best gear and invent to use? I have done all the quests to unlock the bosses, just a case of killing completing the requirements.

I have all the chaotics, void, barrows, however I sold most of my Armour to get 92 prayer.

With the new exponential armour progression void is less useful than it was, as you'll be hit a great deal by the stronger bosses. I'd try it, but if you find yourself dying too often just switch to Barrows or God Wars.

 

Weapon-wise, I'd take maul. Lots of nice 2h abilities, no ammo costs. A royal crossbow backup (Dagannoth Mother for example) and chaotic staff with a stack of each elemental rune (also the Mother :P) are useful. Then, a couple of overloads and pray pots, familiar (steel > iron > uni, with scrolls), few rocktails.

personally, i wouldnt bother with overloads (cheapo inc) just use super dominion medal if you have it, for the free stat boosts in fights. If you don't have it, just slug it out for 20 endurance rounds with a yak and good food, isnt too hard.

It'll depend alot upon what your trying to do. If your just going for fast kills i'd go in with void and either your best dual wielding melle weapons and use momentum if you plan on afking, or for slightly faster kills your maul. and bring your chaotic staff and runes just for stuff weak to mage. for range i bring royal crossbow and if you want something cheaper bring a crystal bow. Overloads aren't worth it. Just use super medallion, some prayer potions, and some food. I use a Uni with scrolls, but an elemental titan might speed up kills and offer slight healing

 

I did this post EOC, but i think it'll still be a great tactic if your trying to get unlock everything like i was.

First unlock the achiements that require you to reach certain floors to unlock dominion sword and crossbow. (use something other than void for climber if you want since they can disable chestplates)

Then just go in to endurance mode with void and the above set up. get a kill claim reward repeat. (this is to claim all the journal pages by the time you reach 450 kills) Keep any bombs and dominion weapons you get, but you can turn any potions and food into xp.

After collecting all 20 journal pages, start aiming to last as long as you can to beat the upper level bosses. Id try with the same equipment, but some bosses will require some different setups.

As you get closer to 400 kills i'd start changing your inventory to best fit the bosses you have left.

Thanks for the advice guys and Quyneax. On 130 kills now, managed to get the pest queen on level 21 on the climber mode.

Any advice for the chickens one? I line them up and they still seem to destroy me.

I haven't done chickens since EoC but I presume ranged with soul split and AoE effects is your friend, that or blood barrage.
