January 22, 201313 yr I am going to start doing Bandos runs with a couple buddies. I currently do not have good melee gear and I want to mage him. I have 80 mage and access to Infinity Robes and, of course, Polypore staff. Is this a viable way to kill him? Or will melee be necessary? I also want to know how to set up my inventory and BoB if I should even bring it. All help is appreciated. ASAP Please! Thanks
January 22, 201313 yr My understanding is that magic is one of the best ways to take him down. Because he uses powerful melee attacks, and melee protection/deflect prayers don't stop 100% of the damage anymore, than magic armor is very valuable.
January 22, 201313 yr Magic works well enough, but it's not as good as melee. At your stats, I'd go for a godsword and some barrows gear (Verac's). If you don't want to/can't get that, get ganodermic and polypore. Infinity is definitely not good, you'd be better off selling it and getting melee equipment. Infinity is valuable enough that you can get everything you need.
