10k captains

I have three 10k captains, 1 each of moral, combat and seafaring. For the remaining two what should I get?

Whichever ones you're lucky enough to get :S

 

Assuming that's not an issue, get another seafaring since it ends up being behind the other stats once you get all upgrades. The 5th doesn't really matter.

Try getting a speed one. It might be helpful once you start getting high completion percents on missions later in a region.

Do not get a speed captain. It will be useless in any region after you get the rudder upgrade. Definitely do try and get a second seafaring captain. The last can be morale or combat (it doesn't really matter which), and you can also use it as a rotating spot to try and maximize positive traits. The most important thing is just to try and get a second seafaring captain.

If you got your desired traits, 2 mor/2 sf/1 cb is considered the best by the HLF guide (and also by me but ok). Single-cb missions are rarer than others, it seems to me, and for example Assassin voyages often come with spices which are much less useful than other trade goods.

 

Of the 700 steel missions, there are 22.5k singles, 14.5k doubles and a 12k triple of all varieties.

Of the 5 trade good missions, there are no combat singles, just 20k mor, 20k sf, 11.5k doubles of sf+another, and 10k triples.

Of the 700 steel/5 trade good specials, only the Assassin (also with the Convict) offers combat (16k and 20k single).

 

So unless you were hunting Laquer exclusively, I wouldn't bother with a second cb captain. Steel can be obtained from other adventurers besides the Assassin.

I'd go with moral for the last one because both chi and laquer use moral, thats if you're lucky enough to get to choose :P My last 3 10k captains have had utterly aweful traits :c
