osiris_1993 Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Hello all, After a while I've bought a month subscription to play '07, but I've accidently found my love for Slayer again, even after the EoC.However, I haven't been through these changes, so I have not got a clue of what has been changed and whatnot.Some tasks where not a problem at all, but today I got assigned a Mithril Dragons task, and just can't seem to do it right. In the following you can see my set-up Uploaded with ImageShack.us Obviously using Earth spells I just can't seem to hit them, even with 99 Magic and potting, using Augury and Protect from Ranged.Spamming Healing Aura I only have been able to kill one Dragon before having to teleport. Did Mithril Dragons get updated or are my equipments just not enough for this task? Galco Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 It's because you're using an inferior wand.If you're going to do a wand + shield method against the metal dragons(or anything for that matter) you need AT LEAST Ahrim's wand.Otherwise your accuracy will be too low. I will, however, give you my trick to killing metal dragons.Wear ahrim + slayer helm + staff of light + w.e for the rest of your gear doesn't really matter.Get melee distance to the dragon.Make sure you have antifire pot up.Pray protect/reflect melee.And hit it with all of your abilities. You'll kill the dragon in no time. Whenever you use the skill where you're a sith lord choking with your hand, turn your prayer off until it's over because it's a stun. The dragon will rarely use dragonfire, and its melee attacks will only hit upwards of 1. Good day sir. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Veiva Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 You need a better weapon. Ahrim's wand would be decent, a Virtus more so, but sadly they're very expensive. The grifolic wand is tier 60, which is something like 900 accuracy versus Ahrim's 1500ish versus Virtus's 2400ish. edit: Beaten. This is what you get for leaving the room for a minute on tip.it haha. The difference is about 5% per level, which works out to about 60% per 10 levels.
