March 17, 201313 yr Hey guys, just had a few questions, I was wondering what level do Obby Maulers begin to become less effective (like around 50 combat, 60 combat etc) and also what is the best stratagy for going up against one should you just pure range, mage or use some sort of combo?
March 17, 201313 yr Obby is more of a cute gimmick than an actual practical pk setup. It can be treated in a similar fashion to pure range, as the obby maul is just a glorified dragon bolt.
March 17, 201313 yr I havn't played a low level pure for quite some time, but from the vids that have been popping up I don't think there's an easy way around them at these low levels. At around 50 combat you can play a decent MSB/G'mauler and at 60 combat you can have 60 atk 60 str for a d scim and dds'er. I never remember them being such a problem, but back then we all played F2P at low levels. If you are just desperate to PK and cant wait to get the stats for a G'Mauler or 60 attack pure then make a lowbie with fire strike and a black dagger [sp] and poison then mage... March 17, 201313 yr obby maulers never become less effective.What becomes less effective is if you turn it into a failed pure by getting some att/def levels or training range/magic over your melee combat level. Best strag to beat: Any defense at all, like steel armor stops them, though obviously not ideal for a pure... Or the best troll method but sadly takes ages, is to make an iban pure and just wreck all the low level ones. Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod![hide=old sig][/hide]
