Gullible
Hi guys and girls, I'm 95 mining and I was looking to do some warbands for extra mining xp. Thing is i've been in some fc's and I have no idea what anyone is talking about. Can someone please give me a simple explanation on how the friend chats work, i.e. step by step from finding the world to the actual looting and so on.A guide link would also be appreciated, thanks!Edit: also what should I bring, and whats the difference between warband fc and warband pk? >_>
Bxpprod
Warband PK is firstly a PK fc - they like to clear all white dots (or rather, as many as possible), from the world they are heading to. The kill armed and unarmed. They also impose minimum gear reqs in the fc (batwing + pps, royal dhide + rxb, not sure about melee). The calls:-[#]c: World # is clear[#] DWF: Warband active, south of Dark Warriors Fortress, world #[#] ELM: Warband active, south of East Lava Maze, world #[#] RDI: Warband active, south-eastish of Red Dragon Isle, world # Finding a world is done either through receiving a call from an FC, talking to Quercus (the big tree ent guy near GE agility pass) in Edgeville and asking about current events OR lucking out and seeing a global message in chatbox. Map here I think Warband FC is now requiring people to come armed, but can't say this with certainty. The idea is to be able to summon the beam without being spotted. It might be best to observe this, before doing it. Someone will be able to add more info. Looting is simple. Once the camp has been cleared, you have your way with it. Loot til you have 25 (or it dies), and then bail. You won't be able to teleport, so you either have to run the entire way (use surge as needed), or you can hop to an F2P world, run to level 20 wildy, home teleport to Edgeville, then back to P2P for reward. IF you get the wand, you are likely going to die. Your prayer gets sent to zero and you have a target on your back (well, under you). Best I can offer is to have a prayer pot in your invent (with 2 pieces of food), and on your action bar in order (1-2-3 for instance) freedom-prayer pot-quick prayer (protect item). Gullible
Ok thankyou, another quick question, do the people in the friends chat meet up and go together or is it just all run there whenever?
Bxpprod
Again, speaking only for WPK, sometimes they'll meet and wait for a world (for instance: @ Corp Lair) but in my experience it's mostly people funneling in after a world is called. Best when hopping to do so at a safe place, because WPK will kill white dots and you don't instantly rejoin chat. Same really for Warband FC, except they meet at the Edgeville Bridge when it is requested. As far a Warband FC goes, yes you are required to gear up in the same fashion as Warband PK. The calls are also the same. Unarmed people in the FC are killed. Also, armed white dots are killed. Warband works in he described it. you have to disrupt the beam to change it's color, then again siphion from it to summon rival forces to help kill off the NPCs, all without being seen. If you are seen you have to kill the NPC yourself, and the time to loot is cut into half. If you you want to learn a bit more, read the general discussion page on it.Lastly, if you are seen in WPK and more than 2 people can identify it's you, you'll get blacklisted from any other chat. also, looting counts as a go at a warband, so should you die with loot, it counts against you.
