drakel
Hi, I have some questions about skilling: 1. How should I go about leveling crafting (level 83 currently)? I'm willing to put in 30m into this skill and I want fast exp rates (though 30m is max budget for this skill please). I am currently doing battlestaves but I want more to do in between the GE limits. 2. How about fletching (lvl 82)/cooking (81)/firemaking (85) if I put 10 m into each skill max? 3. And... how about fishing (lvl 78)? I am currently doing monkfish but I might just do fly fishing at shilo instead. Would that be good? Thanks! Miss Lioness
Hi, I have some questions about skilling: 1. How should I go about leveling crafting (level 83 currently)? Crafting should be trained with either Blue Dragonhide Body's, the Green ones or possibly with a Loom at a Citadel that is T5 or higher with a Loom plot. The latter allows one to craft for free and unlocks a Crafting Ring for more experience points that is free. Fletching would be most efficient if you do bolts/arrows although the more common method is also very expensive, yet very fast. Otherwise it should be trained by stringing bows for fastest exp.Cooking: Lobsters till 84, Monkfish till 92, Sharks till 94 and from then on Rocktails. Use Cooking Gauntlets for minimum losses! Should be doable for under 10m.If you have 83 Woodcutting, Firemaking should be training by Curly roots. It is one of the faster experience rates rallying Magic logs pre-bonfire. Next to that it's also free and you get a nice chunk woodcutting experience points. Curly Roots is done at the Jadinko Cavern, located east of Shilo Village. Fishing is indeed to be trained by Fly Fishing if you value Fish Flingers. Otherwise the fastest experience rates is achieved by dunging C2's and fish all the spots you can find. This is also a great way of training your woodcutting up and you could attain experience rates exceeding the 90k/h in both skills or 130k~ in either of it. baileydafrog
with battlestaves you can trade 1:1 plain bstaves for water/air staves so only cost is the orbs
Th e Doctor
Hi, I have some questions about skilling: 1. How should I go about leveling crafting (level 83 currently)? I'm willing to put in 30m into this skill and I want fast exp rates (though 30m is max budget for this skill please). I am currently doing battlestaves but I want more to do in between the GE limits. Don't do dragonhide bodies, fastest exp rates are with dragonhide shields right now. The GP/EXP is much higher than battlestaffs though so I would recommend just sticking with them (unless of course you're getting to 90 for death lotus and need it asap, then go with the shields). 2. How about fletching (lvl 82)/cooking (81)/firemaking (85) if I put 10 m into each skill max? Don't do bows at all, do broad arrows, its the cheapest gp/exp currently of any of the methods that are 200+ k xp/hr and the fastest exp/hr in the game for fletching. Plus you can do it while doing other things (in between boss spawns at GWD, while doing livid farm etc.) Cooking is best done with wines always, if you want cheaper do sharks until 94 and then rocktails until 99. FM - lioness was dead on. Jadinko FM is the only way to go. Burning magics is more AFK but costs money and why spend money when you can also get WC exp? 3. And... how about fishing (lvl 78)? I am currently doing monkfish but I might just do fly fishing at shilo instead. Would that be good? Fly fishing until 80 and then C2 fishing. Barbarian fishing if you value agility exp is also worth doing instead of fly fishing. During C2's you can do firemaking, woodcutting and fishing as well as knocking your lower floors off. Fish flingers is worth doing and I believe you can do it 2 times a day not including extra admission tickets you would get from fly fishing so do that every day that you can as well as its a free 16+ k xp in ~10 min and it breaks up the monotony. drakel
wait so would dragonhide bodies or shields be better in terms of gp/xp? also would there be a cheaper option for fletching given that 10m is the total budget i'd devote to fletching? (it says the arrows are 5m/hr) oh and should i use urns for anything?
Tempest Mike
Green d'hide shields are roughly 11.2 gp/exp at the moment and green d'hide bodies are 9.94 gp/exp, so bodies are slightly cheaper. EDIT: Calced them all, these are using med prices: Green dhide bodies = 9.94 gp/expGreen dhide shields = 11.2 gp/exp Blue d'hide bodies = 11.33 gp/expBlue d'hide shields = 12.45 gp/exp Red d'hide bodies = 16.64 gp/expRed d'hide shields = 15.59 gp/exp Black d'hide bodies = 18.78gp/expBlack d'hide shields = 20 gp/exp

If you don't have money for one of the methods listed, make the money then train, it'll save more time and probably be more enjoyable. I recently sold 4k red dhide shields, so there's probably a market for them. What Aiel said, if you don't have the cash you're better off doing your best money maker to make the cash and then training with the best method than you are training with a worse method. You can lessen the cost of using broad arrows by buying 3 k arrowheads per day from your slayer master (for 50-60 each vs. 70+ on the ge). Always use urns for mining and fishing. Not sure that they're worth using for anything else. Miss Lioness
thanks guys! and to add on top: where should i level wc? i am right now afk leveling on ivies, but would arctic pines be faster? Arctic pines are indeed faster, just bonfire the logs or drop the logs using the abilitybar. If done correctly at higher WC levels one could attain up to 140k/h. Another method is the C2 method I mentioned earlier. If you duo, it is possible to reach up to 180k/h and over 210k/h if you trio. This however is if you are the only one doing the trees. One person is then either clearing the dungeon and the other is tree standing for you to tele there. However even solo rates could match and in some cases exceed the Arctic Pines rates. 1. If he did make extra cash then it would be best to do Broad Arrows indeed, but be aware if you decide to do Broad Arrows, they are untradeable and would be forever in your bank unless you sold back to a general store.Wines are very expensive in comparison to the fish. It's slower to do fish but a lot cheaper. He could get 99 under 8m perhaps even under 6 if pulled well. With wines the amount of gp needed would exceed the 20-30m. Quite a few hours to make gp then =3.Well one could use a mixture of Maple Bonfiring and Jadinko FM.3) Nothing to comment on ;D! Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. They're much faster exp/hr than bodies, especially if you use AHK or mousekeys to bank quickly.2. For arrows specifically it is always going to be better to make the cash to do broads than it would be to do bows. Especially since you can fletch broads while you do other things (like making money at QBD or GWD for the cash to do more broads). I only threw wines out there because they are indeed the fastest exp/hr and 20-30 m is only between 3-4 hours of making money if you know how to do it well, if you're stuck with conventional things like glakkers, QBD, and GWD you're still only looking at 5-7 hours. I personally would do fish as well because its still fast, very cheap, and much more AFK which I value alot. Th e Doctor
If you already have a mainhand crapier I wouldn't bother getting the claw unless you're going for 99+ dg at which point you will have more tokens than you need for all the rewards. The extra 1.whatever crit rating isn't the spectacular when the weapon is just going to get replaced by drygores as soon as you have the cash and levels. Get a chaotic staff first for the weapons as it's the only one that still is the best in its class. Chaotic crossbows are basically a waste of tokens with an equiviant tier (royal) that costs much less and is easier to get in the first place plus a tier above (ascension) if you have a huge bank to burn.
