SirLoubert Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Ok so I find myself out in the wildy more and more gathering green dragon hides and bones for crafting and prayer. I realize that the spot that I go to is a high traffic area for world hopping pkers. Usually I get left alone but there are times where I get attacked and killed. I am tired of it.lol. instead of finding somewhere else to get supplies I want to fight back. I have won once or twice but overall I have been sucking it up due to the fact I don't know how to fight players. is there a trick? am I missing something?lol. I know that just because my cb level is higher doesn't mean im gonna win and I know how the eoc works but I just cant get ahead of these guys.lol. are there power boosting potions or a stick I need to shove up me a#@ to win I mean wth?! lol. if anyone has any advice that they want to give let me know.lol. Quyneax Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 Well, there are things like turmoil and overloads, which don't increase your combat level but do increase your power. I don't think it's likely you'll encounter much of that at your level, however, your constitution level is quite low for your combat level. Another thing is that you have space for bones and hides, whereas pkers have food. If you want to fight back, you will need to bring decent equipment, and only magic - your ranged and attack levels are too low to fight back versus level 140s. Ideally you'd use wand + shield - shields are great in 1v1 - but you don't have access to high tier (70+) shields because your defence is much lower than your magic, so polypore will do fine. You probably wouldn't want to risk t70+ equipment anyway. The ultimate downfall of risky pvp is always that it takes 5+ items to get good defence, whereas it only takes one item to get good offence. iBe Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 taking advantage of stuns and abilities such as freedom / anticipation will help you a lot. you just have to learn when to best use these abilities in combination with other thresholds/ultimates.
