October 9, 201312 yr I accidentally deleted jpg files from my PC hard drive. I am a Windows 7 based PC user. I want to restore lost files from hard drive. But i don’t know how it should be done. I needed advice to rescue deleted files. Anybody knows how will it become possible?
October 9, 201312 yr If they are in the recycle bin you can just restore them, if they have been erased from there they may not be recoverable. October 9, 201312 yr @susnisk, you might also try PhotoRec from CGSecurity (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec) in order to restore your accidentally deleted images. Just make sure you have a second hard disk drive handy to put what it finds over on until you've retrieved everything that you've lost. October 9, 201312 yr Even if a tool does offer in-place recovery using it poses risks and is better to use a 2nd storage device if possible. Recovery relies on the fact when you delete a file the data is not actually removed, only the link that tells the computer the relationship between the various pieces of data in the file and that the data space is occupied. The actual data remains until a new file overwrites it at some point down the line.The danger with an in-place recovery is a temporary file could easily overwrite part of the data during the recovering process. October 10, 201312 yr The more you wait, the less chances you have to get your file back. I have used Recuva in the past and it works quite well, and it's free on top of all.
November 15, 201312 yr I can also vouch for Recuva, used it to recover a friend's photos from her main hard drive after her backup drive died and she'd deleted from her main computer. December 5, 20178 yr I ever heard of easue data recovery tool that can get data back. For the important files, you'd better make a backup of them easpecial for the phone data.
June 14, 20188 yr I managed to recover a few doc files with TunesBro DiskGeeker. However, it is not free.
