Diomedus
Hey, I am interested in getting max combat and a high slayer level (90 for port, or maybe all the way to 99.) I remember reading about how getting melee xp and slayer xp is much faster in EoC, but I'm not sure how people do that. I have 84 dungeoneering, bandos armor, vine whip and EEE, saradomin sword, royal crossbow, and about 70 mil to work with, I believe I need to do dungeoneering to get chaotics, but which are good now? Claws or rapier(s) or maul? Are the crossbows and staff worth it? (I have max range and magic so they aren't as much of a priority unless they'll help with like, killing frost dragons or something to make money.) The common advice seems to be tormented demons to get money for drygores. I am close to getting 90 melee but I'm not there yet, but that could be the plan. I just got 90 smithing today so I could make a set of full superior tetsu, is it worth it? or should I make a tradeable version and sell? And I am going to start putting all "choose-able" xp into slayer. I just got a mask of the abyss this morning, and I have a few other masks (jellies, crawling hands, basilisk, jandiko and a few others) I remember that barraging the abyssal demons was supposed to be a good daily thing. So basically, what do I do for melee and slayer training? What melee chaotics should I get, and what armor? War is not about who's right, it's about who's left
Sy_Accursed
1) I'd invest that 70 mil in to Subjugation and Armadyl to compliment the Bandos.2) Claws are by far the best melee choice, if you have royal there's not a lot of point in getting dual ccbs. I'd go for the staff though, t70 mage is kind a big step down and you don't have funds for virtus wand and book (the ideal t80)3) I'd do Frosts over TDs, much more consistent income; though see how you do from training first slayer can turn a good profit.4) t90 > nex > gwd > pop > barrows in terms of top end armours for slaying so no I wouldn't bother; just make the tradables for an easy few mils Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Diomedus
The subjugation and armadyl aren't a big priority since I am already maxed range and magic. Or is magic or range the way to go with frost dragons? War is not about who's right, it's about who's left
Sy_Accursed
If you want to max slayer most effectively you will want to follow weaknesses to the extent of melee, magic, ranged using t80 weaponry therefore it is important to have a good armour set for all 3 classes. So basically, what do I do for melee and slayer training? What melee chaotics should I get, and what armor? If you can make superior tetsu but only want to do slayer your best bet is to make the tradeable tops and sell them to get a drygore main hand and rush to get 90 attack. jadinko's are worth doing with your mask if you can access the highest level ones. Abby demons are worth doing every day as well, as well as being great combat exp. Make sure to use urns for the extra prayer exp. If you're going to do dg don't get chaotic melee weapons as you are very close to drygores. Better off getting dual ccbows. Cstaff isn't going to be worth using over treach/ahrims book for magic on slayer tasks which you'll only need to be using on ganodermics once you have drygore and dual ccbows or rxb is fine for ascensions. Everything else can be drygored. p.s. I am jelly of your slayer masks. EDIT The only chaotic you should be getting besides dual ccbows would be oh cclaw until you can afford the drygore offhand. Quyneax
If you are going for melee xp, drygore everything - with 70m and Bandos, you'll need about 55m extra cash to get the weapons (keeping the armour). Since melee xp is your focus, and you still need 90 attack, train to that level with either frost dragons or slaying, depending on how you intend to make that money. Skip polypore creatures, wyverns, etc. I melee ice strykes if I'm low on points, but they're not that good.

Sattern
I'd suggest you start with chaotic rappers to save money. Then kill frost dragons or blue dragons until you can afford drygores. Sattern.

Sattern. No If you get any chaotic weapons it should be chaotic claws because they're 100 k tokens cheaper than a pair of rapiers, they start at 100% charge vs 20% charge and they have an additional 1.8% crit on them which means they are better dps. Also if you have the stats for frosts you should never do blues. 3 Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
