Dual CCB and slayer

Can't afford ascensions, but got dual ccb already and as you may be able to tell by my sig I need to max both ranged and slayer yet.

 

Would it be a huge detriment to slayer xp rates just using ccb on every task?

 

Last i heard at t80 you ought to follow melee/mage/range at least for best rates.

For most tasks you'll be fine using t8 weapons. If you care the most about maximizing slayer exp/hr you should follow the general triangle at t8 but if you only need range exp tis probably worth just taking the small exp/hr hit and range everything with the exception of ganodermic creatures.

You lose a lot of dps by not using melee or magic. It would probably be more efficient to chin and use chaotic claws. 

 

I mean it's probably not that much faster, but you'll enjoy the faster slayer xp/hour and the afkness of chinning. Not to mention that you'll probably care about xp after 99 when you max.

You may want to go ahead and cannon everything, using ccbow.

 

You need about 20-25 hours of chinning? Given that seismic/virtus will not be an option, the slayer xp rates won't be hugely different, not the 20+ hours over the course of 93-99 slayer (which is about 5.6m xp, or 50-70 hours).

So pretty much cannon and ccb wherever possible (eg not ganos) ranged will 99 b4 slayer anyway then switch bk to using all 3 styles + cannon or maybe just drygore it all.

Buy ascension mainhand and use chaotic offhand?

Slayer is almost entirely threshold DPS
