March 6, 201412 yr Hi all, I'm sure theres an easy solution to this but its driving me nuts , so any help would be greatly appreciated. Ive recently upgraded from an ancient laptop to a nice new shiny one with a higher resolution. However when i open Runescape everything is really tiny, like the actionbar and all the tabs and text. See photo below. How do I change the resolution so that they are bigger so that i dont have to strain my eyes to play. The only way I can see to change it is to play in fixed screen mode and I dont like using that. I typically play in resizable screen in either Chrome or Firefox .My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 on my desktop.
March 6, 201412 yr The "old school" layout doesn't make anything bigger, it just makes the game screen smaller. Text is at the same res I personally can not see the game if I play at 1920x1080. I HAVE to play at 1200x720.. I use this program to switch between screen res quicklyhttp://funk.eu/hrc/ Your only option to make the game bigger is to play in a lower res Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
March 6, 201412 yr Yeah things being smaller is a simple and direct consequence of having a higher screen resolution - its why older typists/secretaries etc tend to have horrendously low screen resolutions so they can see stuff. It just makes sense if the font (for example) is built using 2 pixel wide strokes its going to look bigger on a screen displaying only 800x600 pixels compared to a screen showing 1920 x 1080 pixels because on the smaller resolution 1 pixel is a larger portion of the screen (eg 800x600 only has 480,000 pixels displayed where as 1080 has 2,073,600 pixels) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
