Runescape, The healer of sadness?

Featured Replies

I am just wondering who else thinks that runescape "heals" sadness.

I know it has for me when I had to give my dog away I played runescape all day and I felt a lot better.

~~ :D Discuss :D

Well when people lose items/get scammed it makes them sad :P

But yea your probarly right

It may heal sadness, but it destroys your social life. The game is addictive, cuz you'll get better the more often you play.

Just be aware of that. Dont forget your real life and real friends, so you can play runescape...

Runescape makes me depressed.

But so do many other things in this world.

It used to make me feel good, back in the 2001s.

i dont post too much i mostly just view everything that goes on but i have something to say about this, and that is if you find runescape to do any of the following to you: makes you sad, depressed or you think it is addctive. I am sorry but i dont see any of that in runescape i have been playing rs for a really long time now and no dont find it addctive at all or any of the others. If you find that it is doing this to you i think you need to sell your computer because i dont see how it could do any of that to you...... but hey that is just my 2 cents lol

Ummm... okay.

A friend of mine said once that WoW really got his gf out of a depressive slump recently. Personally, I favor face-to-face interactions compared to online ones, but hey, if it works for someone I know with WoW, I figure it can work the same with RS.

it hink it creates sadness not cure's it, why i could nvr play in large amounts :P

Wow - Zuu - Lvl 55 Destructo Lock - Neptulon

Rattus Jr - Skill totaler Nub ( Zuu's Back)

Archer003 - 92 80 99 92hp Rsc trained

Hmm, it's just a passtime to me. Sure, if you're feeling down, you just keep yourself busy and eventually you'll start feeling better, but RS isn't unique in that way :P

If you want to call distracting your mind from your sadness curing you from sadness, go ahead. :|

its a distraction, so it gets into the arguement ov if anything thats a distraction really heals saddness or just surpresses; it lets you forget things temporarily, if its something menial then it might be a healer, but id say time is more the healer than the game itself

so no not really, but it helps the healing begin

i have been playing rs for a really long time now and no dont find it addctive at all or any of the others.

Maybe the reason you've been playing it for so long is because your addicted? Ever thought of that??

what your first post and youre already being a jerk? god i remember why i left here

*deep breath*

the nature ov addiction is ov variyng levels, many theorists(whom i agree with) see that immediately as soon as you find PLEASURE in anything youre already beggining to be addicted, although you may not find it NECCESARY like the higher levels ov addiction, your mind and nerves are addicticted to its pleasurable quaility, therefore the second you smile when you log on rs, youre addicted

Ever thought of that??

I don't find RS cures my sadness.

Sometimes I find that RS is actually pressuring

me to play and that brings me down even more.

To be honest, sometimes I'm glad

my parents only allow me to go on our PC at the weekends and

Friday for an hour only.

It's still just a game...I try to stress that all the time...
