One thing I don't get about elite scrolls.

Featured Replies

These are supposed to be higher level than hard clues, right?

Because I usually get more money by high alchemying and selling the rewards from hard clues than elite ones.

And keep in mind that I don't sell items I'd use, like nature runes and law runes.

I get less money for medium and easy scrolls, so for the most part it works.

But with elite clues, the rewards there are usually worth less than the ones from hard scrolls. What gives?

It's purely RNG I believe.

Elite clues have a very small chance of the very valuable drops and I guess it averages out somehow.

My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! I always appreciate comments/feedback.

Elites have better potential loot, but in general their regular loot is worse than hards, this is true.

tbh it is mostly rng though. and the fact that the fashionscaping qualities of tt items have been outmoded by cosmetics. if their value was at their original point elites would probably be higher average value than they actually are.
