April 13, 201511 yr I started playing in 2004, became a member in 2005, so I should have this cape, but I don't. Instead I got a stupid crown that's an award for being a member for a year. I have been a member for much more than that. But where is my cape for 10 years? Wait, don't tell me it only applies to 10 years of continuous membership. I stopped playing the game between 2008 and 2009. And I often lost membership for less than a day because of credit card failure, thankfully I always had a backup plan to regain membership.
April 13, 201511 yr The only requirement to get the ten year cape is to have had the account for ten years, and you can buy it from Hans in Lumbridge Courtyard for 100K. Talk to him and choose the option about "Have you been around as long as I..." or something similar, I forget. You do not need to have had 10 years of continuous membership; in fact it is available for free players as well. :) "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." April 13, 201511 yr @Arceus, would you please cite a source for that information? Like @Blaze The Movie Fan, I had heard otherwise, and that it required total subscribed time as a P2P to gain, as well as active P2P status to collect it. Also, there should have been a 5-year item, but I'm not hearing it mentioned here? Hell, I remember trying to collect one of this variety of item before I left RuneScape, and couldn't because it specifically required being a P2P. ~D. V. April 13, 201511 yr You are absolutely correct - it was P2P-only despite Jagex leading us to believe that it would be available for all players. It was changed on 17th February 2014. However it never entailed X months of membership as compulsory. There is a 5 year cape as well, which you can also buy from Hans for 50,000 coins. Since you requested sources: 5 year cape10 year cape "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." April 13, 201511 yr also it has to be 10 years on one account it cannot be spread across 2+ accounts. so if your current account was not created back then it wont get the cape good luck. hans will tell you how far off you are if you ask him how long he has been here. ~~~legoman187~~~ Clicky siggy for blogThanks Pendonub for fancy new sigThieving guide[WIP]Loyal player since May 2005 and member since November 2005 and Tifer for many years~~~legoman187~~~
April 14, 201511 yr Heh. waiting on the 15 year cape when they finally release it :) And No. Being a member for the entire time in order to buy the cape was never required even before they made it F2P as long as the account was made before.

Devnull I know you don't like how Jagex treats F2P, and I know I can't convince you otherwise, but there is one saying I must remind you of though. You get what you pay for.
