ortiz9471
well I waited until it was verified by multiple people that it contained nothing harmful, then I searched for myself 51 times so I'm the most popular search =) edit:zezima is second most popular search on it to me, but why would people search up that account, everybody already knows its stats... it works, it's great, thanks. Rithiur
Thanks for the responses :) then I searched for myself 51 times so I'm the most popular search =) I was wondering how long it will take for someone to abuse it for the first time :P. I'd like to ask people not to do that. Popular searches is supposed to be fun feature, so that people can see which names have been searches often, not so that you can boost your own name on the top ;). Oh, but whatever. edit:zezima is second most popular search on it to me, but why would people search up that account, everybody already knows its stats... Oh, you should have seen my testing stats.... I've been searching for Zezima more than enough ;). I guess it's just easy name to remember for someone with 99 in all stats, so it's pretty good name for testing that kind of stuff :P i'm sorry i said there might be a keylogger in there. you gotta admit it looked a little bit fishy ("install" in URL and you have a low post count). Yeah, I admit that. I suppose I was kinda hoping that there would have still been some oldies around that recognize my name. And I was also just so excited that I have actually created something that people might find useful for a change (most of the stuff I create is absolutely useless). And I've been away for so long from the RS stuff that it didn't really even dawn on me that this could be considered as a keylogger, so it kinda surprised me. So, I don't really blame anyone. I was just a bit surprised, that's all. Have you cleared it with Jagex? Actually, I have not. I'm a bit unsure about how to contact them properly regarding this. However, seeing that I could not exactly find information on their site that forbid people from doing this kind of stuff, and knowing that every stat signature thing use the same method (and the stats lookup use caching as well), I felt that I would not cause any harm to them. Should I recieve official word that stated otherwise, of course, I would discontinue this service. I certainly would not like to cause any problems to people. Necromancer_Magic
The staff has checked this out and it is safe for download. :) - Weezcake Okay, so this may be a shameless plug, but this is something I honestly thought people would find interesting. Anyway, I've created a sidebar for IE, Opera and FF for looking up RuneScape stats from the highsores. It is a very simple and clean way to look up on other peoples stats while playing RuneScape. No need to open other browser window or use any other application for that purpose. Just open the side bar and lookup on people's stats right there at the same time your playing RuneScape. Don't understand? Well, here are some screenshots from different browsers to give you the idea: http://koti.mbnet.fi/rithiur/rust/images/screen_ie.png http://koti.mbnet.fi/rithiur/rust/image ... _opera.png http://koti.mbnet.fi/rithiur/rust/images/screen_ff.png Like the idea? Well, go ahead and read the install instructions then: http://koti.mbnet.fi/rithiur/rust/install.html Comments are welcome, and if you find any bugs, be sure to tell me. I wont be using it that much, so I can't honestly see right away if something goes wrong with it. Suggestions are also ok, but it's unlikely I'm going to add too much to it, since it's supposed be very simple, clean and helpful. [note] [note] [note] I rather run RS on a thing called RUNESCAPE XPLORER 3. its safe, i think its legal i has stats checker, stats compare(only if your stats are in high scores), maps, internal browser, world switching slid bar, timer (farm, real life, skull) inbuilt calculator & notepad, updates bar, screen shot taker i know its a different site but go here: TAKEN FROM RUNEHQ (copywrite, all rights reserved) Download At: http://runehq.com/downloads.php[/url] *** All NEW - Runescape Explorer 3 - World Switcher/tool kit made by E-Razor. YOU MUST HAVE Microsoft's .NET FRAMEWORK Beta 2 installed to use this!!! You can get .NET Framework beta 2 from Microsoft .Net Framework Beta 2(here...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7abd8c8f-287e-4c7e-9a4a-a4ecff40fc8e&DisplayLang=en) . If you have problems or questions about the world switcher, Please see this thread on our forum. (here http://www.runehq.net/RHQInn/index.php?showtopic=218883&hl=xplorer) Not MAC compatible EDIT: Believe me, the program is safe. I have been using it practically from the first time it was working properly, and I have never had any troubles. There are no keyloggers or such, believe me, imagine the turmoil Rune HQ would face if they placed a program that was stealing passwords on their website. It is a great program Rocio (E-Razor), and just one more word to say, it is safe. I have scanned it with about 8 or 9 different programs, nothing. ------------------------------------------- QUOTE(abhinav_g90 @ Sep 21 2005, 05:31 PM) umm.. sorry for being nooby but is it allowed to use these clients i heard of people gettin banned coz of using clients --------------------------------------------- This client has been approved by Jagex themselves, as it gives no unfair advantage, and it displays the adds found on the Jagex and Runescape Websites.
