dwarfie76
That would really depend on two main things: a) What sort of 'fire' we're talking about, a candle or an inferno, and, B) What style you're looking to achieve.
Greatsilverwyrm
Why, you use the fire tool, of course.
Akio
In order to paint something in fire, you must do the following. 1- Obtain a flammable substance. 2- Coat your computer monitor in the substance 3- Light a match It solves more problems than you think. ;)
cupcake
Why, you use the fire tool, of course. that will be a brush...and MS paint is quite primitive. uhhh just look up google.. light yellow in the middle, then add some orange on the light yellow part..Add some red on the orange. than darken the orange and again add some red.. then the things that are close to the fire should be shaded with red and orange..so the flame looks blend in the pixel. good luck :)
Akio
Or you could do it my way. Looks much better.

Greatsilverwyrm
Sorry, divined, I meant no offense. It's just such a very specific question. Are you unsure how to draw anything in paint? If so, we can help you with that. If you're able to draw, then you should be able to draw fire. Just do it like you'd do it on paper...
cupcake
he said color...not draw. I will have to look fire up on google if I want to do any accurate coloring on fire... he just don't know the look it up part....so he asked for help... just tells him what he wanted. :? those smart comment is really pointless
misterxman
Yeah pretty much you'll have to find a good pic of fire in google. It will tell you exactly how to make fire. It will have a billion colors, just narrow them down to 3-5 main colors and you'll have a realistic effect if you group them according to the pic's color areas. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art

lemonfish
heres a mini tut on makin fire its by dark_shadow i m not takin any credit Not always the best if you want some rounded edges. Hold on I'll just upload an old piccy with fire on. Remember to use slightly grey colours as they look better. Flames generally go from yellow to a dark orange and if you dither it it look reasonable good. As you can see on this google pictures I found fire goes from yellow (inside) To a vibrant orange (outside). If you place the colours the other way round it can look equally good but the edges aren't clean or dark. It's worth spending time doing fire to get it right. anungunrama
Unless you want an explosion, in which case you gotta use Jack Kirby's signature flare. http://www.penciljack.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16461 will show you how to do it.
