meesa
Ok, so I hear all this stuff about the rs economy being sooo messed up. Ok, yeah, some peeps have 250mil, while some have 3gp from the man they just killed. But, thats like real life too! All those rich oil kings.... ok well lets not get into politics. Anybody care to share an example of what real life would be like if it was like the rs economy?? What would the average joe have? (house, car, etc) What would the rich dude have? (houses, planes, cars, etc) have fun!

Pyrrhus
To be fair it is alot like the economy of the USA (no offence meant to any Americans) as there is a huge divide between the rich and the poor. Celebrities with lots of money (Zezima and other people ranked high) and new players without any rankings only having a small amount. Then there are merchants that arent ranked high but still have lots of money (business people). Well thats my view of it all. The main differences being that not everyone in the US can be really rich but anyone can become rich on RS.

HospRx
The main differences being that not everyone in the US can be really rich but anyone can become rich on RS Sry, but anyone whether it be on RS or in real world can become rich. You just have to do things that move you to becoming rich. True. Except here, in the real world your skin colour matters ... Al_Garv
Theres no way to compare rs's basic economy with real life's extremelycomplex economic system. Things that affect a real economy a lot, but dont exist in runescape: 1- Political stability 3- Taxation 4- Stockmarket 5- natural resources in different countries (everyone has access to everything in runescape) these are just a few examples. Runescape's economy has NOTHING to do with a real economy.
Grim_Jokes
Well, what makes any economy work is "Supply and Demand". The more we have of one thing, the less it costs and vice versa. Skin color matters only if you make it matter And how many people do you think make it matter? Proud founder of the Myriad
Al_Garv
And how many people do you think make it matter? of course skin color matters! colored people are less capable than white people. Thats why whites enslaved blacks, not the other way around. Thats why Europe is rich and Africa is poor Thats why there are more black criminals than white criminals Thats why employees are black and bosses are white LOL, [racist term]s I bet you will report me now, cuz u can handle life, and you need a moderator to back you up. KCHughes
There is such a thing as stability in RS. When the whole party hat scandal happened awhile ago, THAT made for a lot of destability. People were scrambling to sell their party hats before the market became flooded with P-Hats, causing their value to drop dramatically. Just a hypothesis, but I think that the faster the price of rares changes, the less stability there is in the economy. Those two things seem to reflect each other. Anyway, if there were to be a hostile Communist takeover of Runescape, all funds would be equally distributed to everybody. Be happy you don't live under Communism. It stinks! the russians are the best! Hands down!
malo2
hows the economy messed up? its fine and makes perfect sence, the rich people know how to make money and make it. Just because a few people are good money makers dosent mean the economy is messed up, that has nothing to do with the economy. Lastfm
