^ This final .png has...wait for it.... 13,242 unique colours?! Are you sure that's pixel art? :? Anyways, reduction to 256 colours should help on the size issue...
  2. I'd say it's a nice start :) if you're going to work at these sizes you should check out some game sprites and how they use contrast and uhm....segmentation (for lack of a better word) of body parts and clothes in particular. I'd show you my own try but I've never been able to do a half decent one and it would only throw you on the wrong track xD Also people should take their pixel vs graphic discussion elsewhere, it is very off-topic and a useless discussion at the same time
  3. I think you should up your contrast, at the moment shadows don't read and neither do any highlights, you're partly throwing your precious shading away because your colours are way close :P
  4. Ever feel like other RSers are just so boring? Do you have a strange fondness for chef hats? Have a plan to take over the world? Well, this guide can help you! For only $2.95, our experts will design you a foolproof* guide to world domination! *Offer only valid during the year 2006. __________________________________________________ Go to Draynor. If you are unable to find Draynor, find a pmod and harrass them into submission, then command them to take you there. Hop the stile protruding from the fence. If you are unable to find the stile, use the gate located further west. Locate a cabbage. If you are unable to find the cabbage, look for a green blob on your screen surrounded by brown. Make sure your screen is facing north. Click the cabbage. If you are unable to click the cabbage, make sure that your mouse is properly connected to your computer. Continue clicking cabbage upwards. If you are unable to locate upwards, pick the direction the stone wall to the east goes. Once to the top, click one cabbage either to the left or right. If you are unable to find left or right, click a cabbage and hope for the best. Resume picking, but downwards. If you are unable locate downwards, follow the cabbages back in the direction of the stile. Hop the stile. If you are unable to locate the stile, use the gate. Walk to Draynor's bank. If you are unable to locate the bank, follow the strange men in green pants and tan shirts. They'll eventually take you there. Rinse and Repeat. _________________________________ Credit to Allie for being hawt model (Pok too!) and other sorts of guideness. 5. If you want to work on your anatomy, what you need to do is not start with the clothing, but with everything underneath, start out with a stick figure (for the pose), work into skeleton (be sure to keep a good reference picture close and keep checking, don't be afraid to start over on parts. After that you can add the muscles and flesh and what not, the depth you create that way will be a great help on your shading, too. Have fun pixeling. :D
  6. Indeed, this just shows what great light shines upon the Cabbage. All hail Cabbage! :D
  7. This PC product discussion is totally besides the point, and possibly incorrect too. The level 95 cmb person could have a 99, and just keep training it, not gaining any levels in that skill, but still getting exp and levels in HP (and you could just fight monsters, the extra exp from PC isn't needed). I think a HP pure would be pretty awesome in several situations, has anyone got a good example/pic of one? If anyone here is making one, be sure to keep a blog (even though it would be pretty much the same once PC'ing. ^^
  8. Links to website and forums added at bottom, Grand Poobah wrote it, medium Poobah posted, so I guess that's all right. :D
  9. Guide to world domination, world includes chef hats. :) Nice to know you all like the guide.
  10. If you know it's lacking then you should spend some more time on it. Nice organizing overall, but this system doesn't work for the items people only have one of (quest relateds, the rune armour) , those would be stuck at the bottom after two outfit switches.
  11. Did some editing for dead images (yarr, imageshack, ye be swashling me pics around again!). Ah, nice to see this guide is helping out in all your cabbage-ey needs. Be sure to put your newly found knowledge to good use and try it out as soon as possible! The cabbage is calling you.
  12. I like the fact Jagex shows they are listening to the needs of the players, also good to see they will work on competing with the third party clients.

  14. Not sure if I'll be able to fill the template (width causes some issues), but I'll have a go at this. :
  15. I've done a bit of work on it, but I'm working on other projects at the same time. Anyhoo, hair and skin are big problems for me, colour choice and shading are both tough on me, it's just a practice piece, so I think the background will be nothing but some snow around the boots, backgrounds take up way too much time. :? Progress so far: Not entirely happy about, but I'll finish it anyway once I need a break from my current project, which I haven't posted around here yet...
  16. I guess you could place stuff on your deviant and link to that, Tip.it just doesn't want to be responsible for anything people would do abusing the pictures.
  17. I could make it for you, but I can't do any fancy morhping thingy with the text, but anyway, you might want to fix up some of the spelling (unlesss you meant to) and the second image is a pixel smaller in width. Also state how fast you want the animation to be. Good luck with this. :
  18. Whoa, quadruple posts, classy. Anways, you could do something with a character sitting in a jail cell (nice and medieval preferred), with a bit of a cold mood, make sure it's from an angle with which you can show just what you want. You could use a torch as the main light source, and the moon shining through the bars of a high window as a secondary one. And if you feel up to it, some water (:) dripping from the window and past some bricks. You could add details like a skeleton (maybe one with it's head stuck inbetween bars), mice walking around, a bird in front of the moon, the shadow of a guard walking by..and that's just about where my ideas end. :| Good luck on finding inspiration :D
  19. Haven't seen anything quite like it before, and I have to say I kinda like it, but a border covering the bottom would be nice, and the colours could match together better. :o
  20. It's called a random sig script, try UzziSoft.
  21. I think you should start without the shirt lines, think of it as heavy metal rings (tend to go straight down due to the weight, I think) that won't bend as easily, whether Rs shows it or not, the [bleep]es should be on shoulderpads, and with the arms in that position the [bleep]es wouldn't be right next to his neck, look at your own arm when it's like that and imagine a [bleep]e at the end of your shoulder to get the right idea. Good luck on the pixel, can't say I have any experience drawing chainbodies but I've tried my best to help you. :D
  22. Yays. ^^ Just my avatar, the (nearly) white around the text is meant to be there, just want the grey gone. Thank you. :D
  23. Hover your mouse, click the expand thingy in the right bottom corner. :P
  24. Well, you've already got a reference pic, try something. :o With cartoons you try to keep them simple methinks, so just pick a bunch of smooth colours and you'll be fine. :D
