Since I was starting a new pure, I was killing chickens, gathering feathers, and maintaining my Mind Rune supply chain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, I fell into a stupid "2000" - "20000" scam when I was selling feathers. Errrr~

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The story was simple, I was selling feathers for 10k gp total, and this guy trade me, offered me 20k plus some cooked fish. He DIDN'T click Accept until I click first, then, I was SO DUMB that I didn't check the 2ND screen! - Boom! It finally turned out to be 2k gp and some cooked fish.

Awww, well, don't worry. Just mine some rune ess. 30gp per, much quicker for some quick cash.

you can make 18k merchanting 30 steel bars. go mine 60 coal, and 30 iron if your skills are high enough, then sell the bars for 600 each. or, if you lack the skills to mine coal effectively, then buy the materials for 500 gp total and sell the bars for 600. check out this bit of math:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

assume that youll buy all your material. now, we take 500gp starting funds(because thats the minimum needed to buy materials for one bar) and buy two coal(200 each) and one iron(100 each). make a steel bar and sell it to someone for 600gp. then take all your profits and put them into buying more materials as you can, making more steel bars as you make more profit. after merchanting about 166 steel bars this way, 500gp will turn into 18k easily. not only that, but you get free smithing xp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i will say that mining your own materials is the best way to go, though.

its a good thing you learned this lesson at this lvl when you only lost 18k. You will be more carful in future when the trades are more important!

Yeah sometimes we gotta learn the hard way. At least this will make you more aware in the future, as usually errors like this are inevitable but in your case wasn't too serious a loss I guess.
