I believe there is an option on the toolbar that is similar to 'Color' or something. You can edit colors. Or else it's under edit. I dunno, I've been on Linux too long (which is 10x bettert han Windows).

aleksander no offence but compering your sig to ice_rings, I'm ready to say that microsoft is better (atleast in paint) and that all that matters :lol:

And Linux is indeed better, besides, The Gimp isn't a strictly Linux program, it is a free program you can get for windows. Besides, I also drew mine differently than he drew his. My sig is also the first and only sig I've ever made. First pixel art as well.

and how on earth do you get the right shade for skin? lol

in the colors for skin i set it to a light color on the right and the color i choose is somewhere in the middle in the orangishredish yellowish area close to the grey and for shades just move the bar down a lil bit to get darker shade (my explanation sux!)

Well i dont make many myself, but for 2 i have made i used photshop, because you have layers and its easy to move stuff around. Plus it has tranparncy. But its not worth getting if all you going to do is make pixel sigs.

I was talking about styles. Not skills or stuff like that. As u can see around the boards i never claim this or that for me and i'll never do, unless some1 directly "challanges" me and even in that case i woun't be sayin i'm better than you and such stuff. Plus Pixel stuff is the closest to hand drawing kind of digital art...so it's very likely every1 has a particular style and a particular tecnique, with more or less detail, more or less humor, more or less realism and so on. And every1 will hit a particular target in the audience. (else we all would be reading specific marvel comics or specific Manga comics...but u can see how many of them are out there and how many different styles are there.)

 

 

 

Plus i realy respect all pixel art sigmakers cause i know the effort it's needed to do a full piece. (well unless u do some bad stuff that's still possible in mspaint). I don't realy get what u mean with cockiness but in case it's what i think i suppose this post is clear enough to lclose the point.

Dunno about paint. I don't think the grid is that useful. I like photoshop for doing pixel work. Graphics gale is mainly for pixel work.

i didnt mean cocky in a bad way, well maybe i chose the wrong word i meant you have a right to be and i personally like your style better than mine :P
