Without an ounce of sarcasm, I'm thoroughly interested and curious what exactly has changed; other than going through a name change, and a very mediocre one at that.

 

This board has never been "for signatures only." People have always posted wallpapers, indy art, clan logos and discussed graphics in general here. So announcing that like it's huge news was a pretty superfluous announcement - since, well, everybody who's been here for more than one day already knew it - and, perhaps, even a tiny bit ignorant.

 

 

 

My point is, these "news" hardly deserved to be made into announcements, since there's nothing new about them. I also wonder why this made it into Announcements, and not the release of the "The Tailor Shop" forum.

 

I think that was way more interesting, and I don't even play Runescape.

I think you've totally missed the point.. with no more media market people go to the media discussion to sell and buy signatures, Im guessing the new name and announcement is just an atempt at moving away from what happened, turning a new leaf, starting again by naming what this section is all about..

 

 

 

yes people know this board has never been "for signatures only", I don't think the message was to announce that 'not only could you post sigs, but now you can post other graphical work to!..' just to reclarify to 'anyone' who was confused with whats happened...

It actually took me few minutes to notice that "The Gallery" was the past "Media Discussion". I guess media's thread was quite a popular thread so they put it up to "Announcements"? :oops:

Hm, I guess I'm still totally missing the point. I also like the fact that you're making it sound like it was a big tragedy which hit the "artist" community here, when it really wasn't. I applaud the admins for banning 'sig-selling' (yes, I know I first found it silly, but later it made total sense).

 

 

 

Also, how is "Media Discussion" and "The Gallery" any different? I mean, in essence, both names are practically the same, as they're both referring to "media", and that this is the place to either discuss it, or post your pieces.

 

 

 

The admins and mods made it very clear that selling signatures was against the rules: three announcements as well as changing the 'Media Market' description and locking the forum, and if people still, after that, make threads under Media Discussion saying the they are buying/selling a sig - then how can a few extra announcements change that? Since they are clearly not reading the announcements in the first place.
