I know kill counts don't matter.

 

First time I ran through barrows, only killing all the brothers.

 

Opened the chest and got 2 barrows items :P

i was going run after run with a 13 kill count getting rubbish item every 30 trips like karils coif or skirt. then keeping with 13 KC i got 3 d meds in 25 trips, strange and lucky. Then i was on a dry of about 50 trips. So i read this and think why not get it up to 20+, i can always change back. First trip with 20+ i got it to 21 opened chested ahrims skirt. Wow! this might work although i was a bit suspicous that this was the item i deserved on the dry. NExt run i get a 22 KC open chest dharok great axe. Ok this is strange my first ever dharok item. looks like im keeping the 20+ KC. see if i get any more items :D

I would think that my 10k and 9,999 KC's would have already disproved that idea lol. Search for em and feel my pain. :wink:

 

I heard about this but never saw the drop list. I feel for u. I think a kill count of that amount should have been rewarded with something totally amazin

i talked to my friend, he told me that he had asked a jagex mod about kill count, he simply told me kill count does not matter, this is what my player mod told me that j-mod had said, i know chris wouldnt lie to me, but if the j-mod knew what he was talking about is a different story these days...

I noticed something odd today that I have never seen. When I was running barrows I had a 6 kill count BEFORE I went into the tunnel to kill the last brother, killing him gave me a 7th kill. I killed nothing else the entire time down there and got karils skirt. I had never seen a 6 kill count BEFORE going into the tunnel.

Well, we all remember Leesters' tests about the kc and it seemed that with 20kc the drop rate of barrows items is 2x higher than with kc 6.

 

 

 

no matter what anyone says, i'm a firm believer of that and i will get 20kc every time i'm down there just in case. there is also another reason for this, lately EVERY dam time my ladder and chestdoor are adjacent but i have to go through the whole maze to get there so i don't want to risk my life because it's so long walk/run. :D

 

 

 

btw, again on dry streak. 50 or so trips, no drops.

No matter what im a firm believer that what you kill in the tunnel only increases the amount of runes, GP, and bolt racks you get and that the 6 brothers are the only factor in getting the barrow drops, thats just me though I could be wrong.

Now that i think about it, after i started getting kc to 20 i only started getting bolt racks and bloods. before i had never gotten racks from barrows, ever.

 

 

 

i'll do some testing sometime and see what happens.

Im going to try it out. My kill counts is 34 ATM and I'm killing more. I will post what I get later on.

You can't base this on one or two runs :roll:

 

I did 100 runs with only 6 kc (the brothers) and got two items. I then did 100 runs with 20 kc (including brothers) and got over 30m in items. Sure kc doesn't matter? :roll:

 

 

 

Firstly what made you think that I only did 1-2 runs per day? I can't seems to post every picture I've made for the past countless runs yea? And yes to everyone's questions,

And seriously I've been running barrow in and out for weeks (I played like 5 hours average per day), and I only needs like at least maxium of 45 minutes for each run if I'm not wrong. I have only gotten MORE runes after my KC increased. I've to agree with TrixStar for what he/she said.

I still stand on my decision that KC doesn't matter in barrow's drop at all.

It has happened to me twice, not sure how though. I usually get 25-40 kc and get items usually around once out of 7. My longest dry streak was only 20.
