Apteryx
I'm not that great at pixels but I'm making this one and I'm not done yet so before I finish I need to know what I've messed up on and need to fix. I'm going to have my RS name and 75+ Cooking written on it when it's done. :) Feel free to be mean, I know I suck :P . teenageloser33
First to start with me, I'm not going to mention the slantedness, that's a problem with your perspective and only you can fix the lines on that. I'm going to give you anatomy problems. First of all, her legs are straight, angled lines, we do not have straight and angled lined legs. We have knee caps, we have calfs and muscles in those area. Number two, the skirts, once again far to straight, what person do you know owns a skirt that stays there stiff as a bored, even if it is only linework there are going to be some changes in the fabric. Her shoulders are also straight, and her neckline is even straight. Come one, are we in block world now? The hand holding the goblet, AHH, look it'd be way to long if you were to let her hang it straight down, but then again the arm holding whatever that is, is way to short. Your finger tips are about 6 or 7 inches above your knee caps when hanging straight down. Which leads into the hands, what the heck? Just so... Umm.. Not a hand? Also her other extremity, feet, looks like someone chopped off the end of her feet and stuck round tennis balls in her shoes to make up for the lack of foot and toes. Quite a few anatomical issues, once you get those fixed I'll be more than happy to help you learn proper shading. Which also, don't work on such a large canvas, size it down. Get over it, if they ripped that grass they should be shot for ripping something so horrible looking.
misterxman
Not bad, you got to work on your perspective and angles. The room looks tilted and some of the lines aren't parallel (like stove and stove's edge). Her arms are of unequal size, shorten her right arm and lengthen her left arm a bit. Try not to make the hands look so lateral, seldom do people have their hands facing that way to the front, it's tough to do but just keep trying till you can draw it in a more realistic angle. :) Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
eev
Pixels look a lot better when you only use straight vertical and horizotnal lines for squares. Square up that window, picture, table front and stove front. Don't try anything fancy when making pixels, unless you're a real buff, otherwise it'll lower the quality. The perspective is a bit wonky, you may want to lower the angle of viewing on the stove and table, as if you were looking out of the window from that perspective, there is now way in hell you'd see the sky unless the house was 1,000 feet off the ground. Also, there should only be 3 kinds of lines you should use for the majority of work, unless you take the time to shade either side of a line (each symbol represents 1 pixel) straight lines .... ..|. ---- ..|. .... ..|. .... ..|. diagonal type 1 lines \... .../ .\.. ../. ..\. ./.. ...\ /... diagonal type 2 lines |... .... |... --.. .|.. ..-- .|.. .... and yes, my sig is abad example of this :P but then again, im not using geometrical shapes for which this rule especially applies.
