Tutorial Island Idea/Level Specific Events and More!

Long But Good Ideas Ahead

1. Tutorial Skip: I think that if you can provide the username and pass of one your charecters with at least 20combat and 10in all skills outlined in the tutorial you should pass to lumbridge with the tutorial items.

2. Members Tutorial: (Not sure since i f2p) The first time you log into members you should have to do a new members tutorial outlining new members features and how to use them.

3. Level Specific Events: Like when you reach say... 75 woodcut a "Master Lumberjack" appears. You can go on a short miniquest

(maybe collect 100norm,oak,willow,and yew logs and them to random npcs) Then he will reapear and give you "The Master's Axe"

Stats

50 Attack to Wield

+25 Slash

+15 Stab

-5 Crush

+25% To cut logs

Nontradeable

(Could in theory be f2p, since no matter what 75woodcut [or any skill raised that high] is an achivement deserving some kind of gift if you pay or not)

There could be something like this for most skills...

4. Strength Influence Skills

Like say you have 60Woodcut and 50Strength. You should get a bonus over the pures and (shall i say... autoers)

For every 10levels you get you should get a 2% Bonus on change to chop wood, mine, ect.

This only effects ores that you are within range to mine, chop.

10 Strength=2%

20 Strength=4%

30 Strength=6%

40 Strength=8%

50 Strength=10%

And so on and so forth

By 90 Strength=18%

And 99 Strength=20%

Thanks for your time. Dont judge (3.) becuase it could in theory be f2p

I like 3 and 4, but 1 and 2 im not too sure about.

For 1, how about just make tutorial island optional, cause couldnt anyone jus look up hiscores or just put in zezima.

For 2, there are so many new features in p2p it would prob take a long time to go through them all, not unless you are just talking about the new skills available. And, for me at least, I know that when i become a member i dont really wanna go through another tutorial i'd rather jus go through and figure things out for myself. Perhaps, make that member tutorial optional as well.

its ok. if i say anything that could go f2p i get flammed and ignored

Tutorial island takes like 5-10 minutes if you've done it before.

Members tutorial would help but if you've got to grips with most of f2p it's fairly easy to pick up on.

i like 2, 3 & 4 cause i have lvl 79 woodcut and i really hate when there are a lot of autoers. But i don't think it's necessary to skip the tutorial cause it only takes 5-10 minutes to complete it

I agree 110% theres nothing more then noobs that get p2p and bug u for hours on end because they dont know how to fletch or theive that annoys me more then anything just a little tuturial with about 5 rooms or so wouldnt be that hard for Jagex to create Runescape badly needs this!.

Thats what im saying. Of couse it shouldnt be optional for peeps just starting out cause you think theres lots of people who dont know basics now?

1: Sounds reasonable to me. Except that I'm not so sure about the levels. Maybe just a character that has already completed tutorial island could be enough.

2: Also a good idea. All f2p abilities are covered in the current tutorial, so why not have a similar thing for member skills and other things that can be done in p2p.

3: We definitely don't want an axe that is more effective than rune or dragon and is given for free. And definitely not a f2p one.

4: No. Runescape isn't purely a combat-based game. This would give skill pures a ridiculous disadvantage. (There are more legit players than you might think... Think your ideas through before posting)

I agree, pure rangers/mages wont have melee skills (for str) and i was searching through hi scores and noticed this guy, Evanpop he's about 4-5 combat, im guessing and by the looks of it, definatly not a autoer.

ya but its a bonus cause strength does suit well with woodcut. If no strength itd be like what it is now.
