April 21, 200620 yr Author Hi all! I'm sure you've all been reading about this "activity" I've been doing!'' As most of you have guessed I was hiding inside the champs guild! If anyone couldn't enter I went out to them to give them their prize. Well this is my "AFTERMATH" post which explains all the clues and even give you some tips for hosting one of these events yourself! First up the clues! Clue 1 11 friends stand, all made of wood! They can, not move though they wish they could! 2 of them, are forever weeping! For the near-by river is too far keeping! The other 9 are full of days! And are all a beauty on which to gaze! South-west of these friends, a building lies! Inside which you shall find your prize Clue 2 "The EXAMINE option is your friend!" What are the friends? Take a look at this! Oak examine= A beautiful old oak! The other 9 are full of days!(old) And are all a beauty on which to gaze! Willow examine=These trees are found near water! But it used to be "a weeping willow" for these two for some reason, but now it's changed! 2 of them, are forever weeping! For the near-by river(clue to my location) is too far keeping! Clue 3 Near a city but not in a city! I'm in champs guild near varrock Clue 4This is a quote which my in game character "said" to me! Soulman 01 said: "I can't hear myself think over all that banging from that mine over there" Clue 5This is a quote which my in game character "said" to me! Soulman 01 said: Ahhh-choooo!!! I think I'm alergic to feathers!" Clue 6This is a quote which my in game character "said" to me! Soulman 01 said: It's peaceful here by the river." Look at the picture below to understand what my character is talking about! Clue 8 I'm at ground lvl-not on first,second..floors of a building. This was more for helping you guys look for me in stead of wasting time shearching all the two story houses ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now let's get a look at some of the pix I took while on this event! I had a bit of fun with some basic fakes! I think I'm in love! Spot NeoGeo the 2nd place winner, arriving 30 second too late below!!! Was that a quacking chicken?(Above) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now for aal the kiddies out there that want to hold their own hide and seek event, this is your cheacklist: 1)LOCATION -choose a place where you have some thing to do, coz i t can be boring waiting for a couple hours in the same place! -NEVER DO THE EVENT IN THE WILD!!! Ppl will not like risking their stuff for nothing and you might get pked and loss the prize! -Choose a place which is easy to get to, don't choose a place like the tird lvl of melzars maze coz most ppl don't have the key. 2)PRIZE -Don't be cheap! Most ppl aren't gonna bother if the prize is worth 5 gp! Spend some time earing money to get a good prize! -If possible get some consilation prizes! It's tough coming second, especially in my event as the guy ran in 30 seconds too late and it's a nice thing to do! Even if it's just you getting rid of runes or something from your bank! 3)FILTERS -It's best to keep all you filters to on(public/privet chat and trade). It'll make finding you easier and the competitors will chat to you and keep you company. 4)HAVE FUN -Take screenies -Talk to the competitors 5)MISC -You will get a lot of random events just walking around the same area, I got 6 grave diggers(full zombie + 1.5k), 1 mime, 3 snadwhich lady, 3 rick turplins, 5 boxes and 3 dwarfs in the three days i held this event -Make sure your topic post stays up to date! only post a new reply to bump you topic, other wise just edit you last post! -You WILL get ppl who will logg onto their noob accounts after logging off their mains! They do this to get more prizes. Avoid them if you can! -Only do this event if you are willing to stand in the same spot for hours on end! There is no point logging in for 5 minutes then staying off for an hour afterwards either! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well that's about it! I had fun on this trip! I made some new friends! It the tip.it events crew ever wanna hold one of these event, give me a buzz, i'll give you some pointers!
