Isn't iron better? Yeah at your lvl, Id probly just mine and smith iron. Your mining lvl is too low to actually start steel at a steady pace. Stick to iron to atleast 50 mining. April 21, 200620 yr Author In f2p, there is a few "good" places to mine iron. I mean "good" because u can stand there with 3 iron rocks around you and not have to move. Ones that i remeber off the top of my head is the mining site south of varrock. And in the scorpion pits, also south of varrock. As for smithing, Doesnt matter what you smith.. It all equals out same exp. But make stuff with more bars to sell it for more value.
