use a chisel on it, you can buy chisels in any general store for 1 gp

Yes, you also need to make sure you're cutting an uncut sapphire.

Get the right crafting level and then use a chisel with an uncut saphire.

But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores

you need a crafting lvl of 20 i think and "use chisel with saphire" hope it helps
