I have pretty much abandoned it now. Once I got 99 hunter on Sid, I decided there was no turning back. I want to focus all of my efforts into Sid and achieve this goal. ~Ian

Hey thanks all, a few answers to some of your questions: - Yes I'm using exam randoms too, they really speed up the levelling rate - It took me about 3 months to get 99 hunting, about 3 hours a day - Yes that is me on RSC! I've been posting there for a while now, I've always felt it was a better community as for as G&A went :ohnoes: - Yes there's a 9HP copycat on RSC. It does annoy me people can't think of their own character ideas, but there's not a lot I can do other than ignore them. Ty all, your support keeps me going ^^ I must respect you for your honesty :lol: And you can do quests which give exp in a skill of your choise :wink: I think you can do the Karamja one, the first, only gives 1000 exp. But all bits help :) I've been thinking about it. The Return Of... The Def Pure To End All Def Pures! Me @ 10 Combat Background Story and Introduction Welcome one and all. My ultimate goal is this: I am getting 60 Defence at Level 18 Combat by using Genie Lamps, for no reason other than to be the first to do it, and to make other def pures look impure and rubbish ;P To get genie lamps I am training up my non-combat skills. As far as I know I was the first person to have this idea, starting my account back in May, although I have since seen a few other copycats about =( I already have achieved 99 hunter, now starting the long road to getting other 99's. I was inspired by a character called Omegawytch who was the first ever defence pure, in the days of RS Classic. Please note this thread is adapated from my Runescape Community journal. Current Stats Achievements Major: Minor: Maxed: Fun Stuff Chicken - As far as I know I invited this little Runescape adaption of the classic dare game. Basically one person counts down from 3. Then, at the same time, all the players start casting Home Teleport. If somebody casts earlier/later than everyone else it's a false start, and the game must be started over. The idea of the game is to stay sitting, and casting the spell for as long as possible without actually home teleporting! If there is one player who is sitting down for the longest, they get 1 point for winning. If somebody actually doesn't stop casting in time and gets teled to Lumby, they are out. Absolutely. But please post here first because I have my private set to friends 99% of the time, so I'll need to add you first. Also, people who ask lots of questions that I answer over and over again (like the ones in this FAQ!) will be quickly removed. Why don't you use Pest Control? You need 40 Combat to play Pest Control. Why don't you do quests that give defence exp? I've looked into this. Such quests either require killing some high level monster, or they reward other combat exp. Obviously the latter type of quests are out of the question, and preparing to kill high levelled monsters with nothing but recoil rings is so much effort it's not even worth it. Can I have free stuff??? No. Not now. Not ever. I don't even give things away to my closest buddies. There have been exceptions, but I make my own opinions about people and if I am in no doubt that a person is genuinely my friend, and a nice guy, I have been known to give him stuff (mostly everything in my bank when I quit for a while). However, for 99% of people, no matter if it's their birthday, they just got a 99, or whatever, I don't give out presents. So don't ask. As I always say: You think I'm rich? I certainly didn't get that way by giving out free stuff! What makes you so special? Why should I support you? Nothing special I suppose. You can be sure that I'm completely fair, honest and down to earth. I'm a good judge of people, and my gut instinct is usually right. I'll do my best to talk to everyone that asks to add me, after all your supporters make you who you are. I won't lie to people. The creation of this character was totally my own idea and not ripped off anybody, although I did take inspiration from various individuals. Generally I can get along with almost anybody, I'm very easy-going and liberally minded, but fairly opinionated, not afraid to fight my corner and say what I really think. This is on behalf of my long-time friend who has played RS for almost as long as me (and that's a long time!): we were visiting Barb Outpost to cut willows, and it was his first time using a deposit box (yes he's very newbie lol). He didn't realise how it worked and deposited his woodcutting axe, and had to walk all the way back to ardougne. Funniest thing I've seen for a while. When I was a low level, I used to think picking bananas for Luthas was one of the game's best-kept money making secrets. I also sold iron ore to a friend for 10gp each, which I thought was fantastic money at the time. ~Ian

You're absolutely right. I don't think even Jagex appreciate the scale of the problem and how close Runescape is to imploding; I know I didn't until a couple of days ago. If I was running the company, I would drop all new content, and focus all resources on tackling the problem now and putting a permanent stop to macroing and gold farming. ~Ian
