Runescape- I'll never be the same. Long

Recommended Posts

In my later years ive noticed i dont have as much, if any at all, fun. I dont know if its because if lost 30M to scams (my own fault im not whining) or the community. ...My main point is that i think RuneScape is like life, when you first start out theres so much to experience, and it seems like the adventure will never end. ...Thats where im at now, and like life, RuneScape just...dies on you.

P.S. thank you to all that have actually taken the time to read my whole story.

i read the whole thing and although i type slow (im geting better when i started i was 17 letters per minute ftw. now i am much faster though.) i sure as heck can read 500 words/minute (i read 100 pages a day on average) i laud you for not whining about the scams and ofr owning up to it that shows you have a backbone (im not trying to put people down.)but you really realize about scams. good job. and as for life, yes that is quite a great ananlogy there. except rs goes so much faster than life right? i joined in august '05 so i never knew a time where rs was like that back then =(. although i dont thing that it "dies on you" i do believe that it has gotten worse in the last little bit of rs i have seen. its ok though dont lose hope. i have found it is possible to ignore it and play rs of ryou and not notice the noobs. keep it up. i think you will find somthing to look forward to or look up at to put some life back into your rs! (who knows mayby rs3 is at our doorstep as a surprise...?)

lastley, i laud your efforts. that ceertainley was a good read.

That's exactly how it is, the first stage is the total noob stage when you barely know what to do then the exploring stage when you know the basics but haven't seen/done everything in RS yet. If you last that long then you go through the working stage next where you try to achieve your goals. After that you either quit or start playing less. :)

yea. i don't have fun anymore. i get bored faster and logoff faster. its quite obvious since I train much more and do repeated stuff alot, like burning logs, woodcutting, fishing.

>.<

i dunno, but as a f2p, there's sure nothing much i can look forward to. theres no point for me to earn any more money cept to boast but i got me a mask set?

i'm like 2+ years old in runescape and i don't think i will be staying around in there any longer. its been a month since i played and weeks since i visited this forum.

basically, i agree with what you guys say. im only 15 but i feel very much older in runescape. The n00b stage was sure fun. It was like, breathtaking? every moment of runescape was exhilarating where you learn new stuff, gain experience, learn more new areas and maps. then i came to the intermediate state where i became member and started earning stuff. thats when i got scammed like 80+ mill cauz i was stupid in merchanting. yea, member quests were fun but i did not really had an organized schedule and plan made out so i lost mainly to my friends in the fight for total lvls and exp. then i reached the old boy stage where i mainly logon to train. all my friends left runescape for other games. i stayed behind for no apparent reason. now i just do basically nothing in runescape except to stone around. serious, its boring.

runescape offers 21 skills i personnaly only like the combat side of runescape, it keeps me entertained, and having only 45 def means i cant do dagganoth kings, kq trips etc and there something i really look forward to. but i have lots of fun doing barrows for the reward, pkin, fun deuling etc.

i think you need to find something in the game you do enjoy. It can get boring but tahts because your probably afraid to try new things. i bet you wouldnt mind going out in bronze armour and dieing and having no worrys youlost nothing, youd find the game alot more fun if u could wear 500k worth of stuff and it not bother you.

i perosnnaly only amass to about 23m networth and i realyl dnt mind loosing 500k at all, i also spent about 26m on mage. try using your moeny for fun and to enjoy yourself like you would in real life.

once you reach a point people like to stock there moeny eanr more and more and u dont get it quick enough this becomes broing along with the training of melee stats maxed etc. i cant remember the countless time i bought up 200 bloods 400 death and 600w ater just to go to ccastle wars and barrage the whole game its a complete waste of money but it is soooo fun.

RS cant really die for you, your probably just not finding the things that give you kicks as you get used to. Spend your money without as much thought. you dnt need much to have fun try getting frinds together and going to kq or pkin each other in a quite world its all fun.

just a few thoughts
