Pixel art only works nicely with GIF and PNG formats.

 

 

 

Avoid Jpg due to it's interpixel compression that creates those artifacts and aliased/blurred look.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About the sig...not bad for a first try, just add more detail on the bg and refine the char design in your next tries.
