Pest Control Glitch?

I play Pest Control often, but I recently discovered that even if I don't hit enough to get the point, I still get GP. Is this a glitch, or is this purposeful? And if it is a glitch, I'm not abusing it, am I? Because I am still trying my hardest to help.

To stop people from sitting back and gaining money and experiance jagex have made it so you must do at least, 50 damage in order to get a point from winning.

 

I *think* you can also repair barricades, this will also get you damage points, but not many.

Yes I know, but occasionally when I don't get all the way to 50 it rewards me money but no point.

You probably have hit 50 damage just not realised, but getting the like 1k and no points would suck :\

Yeah but it says I don't have enough "zest" (or whatever) and says they decided not to award me points but I get the money.

Nah, thats normal-JaGeX didn't say anything about GP. Only points need 50dmg ... But I think thats good since people may win and don't attack much and (would) lose runes etc.

I noticed the same thing, sometimes the game is over before I hit 50 damage on monsters. Then I get the gp, not the points. :cry:

 

 

 

Jagex probably made it that way because the boat-sitters are so low levelled that they don't get that much gp anyway.

I was under the impression you had to deal 50pts of damage to get the point, and you only get the gold if all 4 gates are destroyed.

If you don't hit 50 damage before all 4 portals are destroyed, you get the GP reward but do not get the point reward.
