Help Ddr Get a Fire Cape!

Featured Replies

Recently, I've been thinking more and more about getting a Fire Cape. I'm only 91 combat, so I think it'd be a nice feat for me if I could do it. What I'd like to know from my fellow Tip.iters is how I should go about getting it. My stats follow.

My original mission was to get 75 defence and 75 range (currently at orge cage) and then attempt the Fight Caves. However, if you think that's unneccesary, or that I should go beyond those stats, do tell. :P

As for my equipment, I have most everything at my disposal. I'll be able to ask my very rich friend to lend me a Fury and archer ring, and I can pay for Guthans myself. I'm not sure if I should wear initiate/black d hide, since my prayer might be high enough to eliminate the need for initiate. Another question would be whether it's better for me to use a crystal bow (I have a 9/10 right now) or an xbow.

Lastly, I'd like a very rough idea of my inventory. I've been contemplating 8 sara brews, 16 super restores, whatever top/bottom/range weapon (I'd be wearing Guthans), and one 4-dose range pot. My friend used something like this, and it worked out well for him.

I'm sorry if this was a long post, or if I'm asking for too much help, but I'd like to get some inside tips from the experts here so I don't waste (or waste minimal) cash. If anybody has any input at all, it'd be greatly appreciated. :D

Well i would check the suggested armor in the fight caves mini game guide.

Currently:whacking noobs with rubber chicken

I have checked it numerous times. However, the guide is very generic, no offense to Tip. It gives the inventory and such, but it recommends 110+, which means in inventory is for 110+ levels. I'm only 91, so I'm asking if I need to tweak my fighting style (or the fighting style listed in the guide) to help me succeed.

best thing u can do, is experience it urself then develop on that technique.. it might cost a lil in pots but experience beats knowledge.

my rsn is Prostar

Your stats seems fine.

If you're going to use Guthans, you don't really need to bring initiate/hides. I'd recommend you take two full Crystal Bows, but I did it without Guthans, so you may not need two to kill everything.

Inventory is okay. You might want to bring some Range Potions for quicker killing at the Ket-Zeks, but it's up to you.

I took one crystal bow fully charged and made it up to the round before the Jad before my prayer pots ran out, my bow was on 5/10. My range is 75.

Hope that helps.

You should use kbow, cbow is too slow and it will degrade too much by the time you get to the 702

Try to get at least 80 ranged...I didn't make it with 75 Ranged 68 Pray 80 Def

and bring black dhides not initiate

Your strategy seems pretty good. I'm 111 and i still havent gotten a cape yet.... Anyway, i got to the jad w/o guth. What i recommend is to bring full blk d hide 400 rune arrows and mage bow (or kbow and whatever ammo you want)10 4 dose pray pots and the rest of your inventory in sharks. This was what i brought and made it to the jad with 70 range.
